HMC Over
the Years
Ten looks in twenty-four years. Some of them we'd even do again.
Blue camo
The earliest look we have a picture of, eight months in. "It's a Hellova Website", a navigation column as long as your arm, and a daily update down the middle.

The cast banner
Summer 2003, right after Buffy ended. "A Mutant Enemy Fan Community", with the weekly poll and the rerun schedule in the margin.

The gothic one
Pinstripes and spiky lettering for Angel's last season. The update on screen is the one about Wonderfalls being cancelled.

Red and black
The Serenity year. The header and menu graphics for this one didn't survive anywhere we looked, so this is the design with holes in it.

Version "We Lost Count"
"All Joss. All The Time. All Without Our Pants." This is the page that announced the original site was going into archive mode.

Undead since March 22, 2002
Archive mode didn't last. By summer the site was posting daily again under a new header, with Dragon*Con a month away. This picture is rebuilt from a fan mirror's copy of the page.

The relaunch
A new site with a new logo: news, columns, reader comments and a new forum. "The Bad Boys of Pop Culture."

Whedon-verse with attitude
The last redesign of that run. Posting stopped, and this page sat exactly like this, front and centre, until 2018.

Like Buffy, we're back!
The WordPress years: one "Back from the Dead!" post, and then another long nap.

The zine
Where you are now. Built from scratch, with everything we could dig back up.

These are pictures of the old pages as the Wayback Machine saved them, so some images are missing. For what was on those pages, turn to Back Issues.
