Winter Lament

As twilight falls, and Cricket calls,
My day is just beginning.
If I wasn’t Chipped, I’d leave this Crypt,
And give the herd a Thinning.
A Vampires bane, shoved in my brain,
By those Government buggers.
It’s in control, cant hurt a soul.
You’d think I could at least eat muggers.
The pain it brings, flies on raven wings,
And drops me to my knees.
If I could feed, and fill this need,
I think I’d have Chinese.
A secret lust, for a slayers trust.
Now isn’t that just silly.
She should of slayed, when we played.
Say hello to my little Willie.
With nothing left, my coat bereft,
my iron horse a lurching.
A rapists plight, I left that night,
to do a little soul searching.

I entered the cave a love sick knave,
to find a demon lurking.
I passed the test and beat his best,
now end this emotional jerking.
So my reward? a poet restored!
now marching to different drummers.
Kind of a ponce, but similar wants,
to spend all my nights in Summers.
