The second official companion book is a huge improvement on the first. This time we get 32 pages of color photos, fascinating interviews with behind-the-scenes personnel, and most importantly, a complete look at the plot of each episode. Like its predecessor, it contains good character bios (especially important for newbies to catch up on “who’s who”), music listings, interviews with cast members, and a huge variety of quotes from the third and forth seasons. Especially impressive is the chapter entitled “Buffyverse” where one can find overviews of major locations in Sunnydale (The Bronze, UC Sunnydale, Bizarro Sunnydale aka “Wishverse”), information on the organizations (The Watcher’s Council, The Initiative), and a roster of just about everyone who has set foot on the screen who had a name and a line.
