May have to agree with Wretch on this one.
Lana's story line seemed tacked on rather than a part of this episode; which featured Clark, Chloe & Lex. About the main thing going here (for me) is that Chloe and Clark are buds again for the purpose of solving mysteries, Chloe still lusts for him despite his fixation on LL and Clark has started to really see the darker side of Lex.
I wish they would let Lana give up more often on being sweet girl from next door and let Kristen go with the "the naughty girl Lana" she does so well.
I think the witch aspect for Lana is getting boring. They didn't even delve that much into the dream. It was like oh i saw her in a dream before I met her. big letdown. Lex storyline a snooze, but interesting to see if Lionel has really changed or a ploy Laughing Laughing Wink

So graduate school last year knocked me totally out of the storyline. Who is this Jason guy and why should I care?
what else did i miss - besides our boy in the sky?

Who is this Jason Guy?
Lana's new love. A guy she met while in Paris.
Why should you care?
Beats me Rolling Eyes unless you were planning to ask Lana out Shocked
What else did you miss? Lois Lane, Chloe's cousin is a hottie! and has done several episodes. Lana, obviously from the above about Jason, seems to have moved on from Clark. Chloe had a near death experience last year but survived to testify against Lionel who is now in prison and cured of his fatal liver disease. Lex continues to turn up with good looking ladies. Clark finally gets to play football. Hmm will let someone else have a go at it.
Does anyone else think the writers are being extremly lazy with the lex-goes-evil storyline? Its like he's been retconned all season with all these "i have a darkness in me, i see a darkness in lex" talk. I thought Lex's turn to evil would be a progression, not a jump and skip.
I haven't bought any of the SV dvds yet, because my only reason for buying will be to watch Lex's evolution to the sinister madman we know he will be, but if they don't actually progress it then its probably a good thing I haven't bought any yet.
And whats with the Lionel goes good storyline? I was hoping Lex's turn to evil would be marked by his killing of his father(in probably the series finale) after Lex finally got sick of the mind games his father was doing to him. But I guess they can still do that with a good Lionel, no?

What no after show discussion group for the last episode? Evil or Very Mad
Hey everything considered, I thought Lex came across as a pretty decent guy trying to do the right thing in this episode. Sure he didn't go immediately to the local doctors with infoormation, but that was during the time span where he thought the accident to the hush, hush military sponsored project had been contained and a cure would be available soon. His decisions to stay with the employees, cancel the project and test the drug were all the actions that we would expect from a good guy not from someone on a journey to the dark side of the force.
Wasnt his nightmare a repeat of the nightmare he had in a prior season?
Clark continues to blow it with Chloe. The end scene where she trusted him with her secret, indicated that was what one could do with best friends and also indicated she knew he was concealing things was rough on her when he turned away without reciprocating her trust. The trust issue is what drove Lana away from him and now he is damaging Chloes view of him as a friend. A lot of Clark's present and future state of being alone is a product of his own actions.
Chlark Hmm doesn't sound as good when it gets the shipper-name treatment. I guess they feel it's canon that Clark only had the 2 LL's in view when he went overboard. Since the series is built around the concept of exploring Clarks teen years, I don't know why they would need to exclude a little Chlark. If they were not willing to show things that are outside of the existing graphic novels we would not have a show. They are not limited to strict graphic novel canon. Shocked
To reiterate my attempted point, I think Clark remaining a bachelor in adult life is a result of his own limitations. Based on the way he acts towards the ladies (per this series at least Wink ) I have trouble feeling sympathy for him in that area.
