Latest rumor....the front runner is ....... GERARD BUTLER!!! I could live with that decision. Yep, yep and yep.

Believe it or not Myth, a lot of GB fans don't want to see him do Bond. They don't want him stereotyped into the part, and definately don't want anything like what happened with Connery happen with Gerry.

I'd like to see Clive Owen get the part.

Well, Sean Connery was the FIRST Bond. I think the stereotyping has eased. Brosnan has made some nice films inbetween the Bond flicks. I like Clive Owen but I have to tell you that for me, GB does smolder and he does action well. I wonder if he would want the role if offered? I am still a little peeved that brosnan was at least offered this next film. He still looks good and he has been a fine Bond in the franchise.

I gotta go with EMumsie on this one. I'd really like to see Clive Owen play the part. He's got a little bit more age than GB and I always think of Bond (James Bond) as being a little bit closer to 40 than to 30.

But that's just me.

And it's a damn shame that Tony Head is just a liiiiiiittle too old for today's audiences. I think he'd make a damn fine Bond! Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Owen has taken himself out of the running - not interested apparently.

Last I heard they narrowed it down to two:

Danial Craig- if they decide to go with the rough-hewn Connery/Owen Bond

OR

Julian MacMahon - For the suave Moore-like Bond.
