This show just gets better and better. You have to admit that it is a fine combination of writing and acting here.

The previews for the next ep.... Shocked Oh my...one desparate housewife will go away forever????? I sincerely hope that it is not one of 'the girls'. I hope that it is that fricking nosy neighbor.

I think that all the actresses are doing a fine job here but Teri Hatcher just shines in her role. Heck, they have all embraced their roles.

What I am liking about this show...the mix between making you smile and feeling the undercurrent of desperate measures. So sad to think that moms mat be taking their kid's meds. I can see this happening though.

I LOVE this show. I'm with you Myth, I hope it's nosy neighbor. I missed last week and the first fifteen minutes of tonight. How did they know Edie was the blackmailer? I'm stretching but couldn't nosy neighbor be the blackmailer since Edie has been staying with her since the fire? Plus nosy neighbor already tried to blackmail Susan so I vote her off Wisteria Lane.

Today was the first time my roommate and I sat down and watched the show, even though we've been meaning to for a while. However, we had to leave for Mass about 10 minutes before the end of the show. We tried to set the timer record, but somehow we messed it up. Sad Could someone please fill us in on what happened?

So I'm hearing one of the main chicks kicks the bucket.

Jedioz- Shocked Argh.

A housewife, Mary Alice, takes a gun and shots herself in her livingroom. This was the opening scene for the series I believe. She was best friends with Susan, Bree, Lynette and Gabrielle.

Susan - divorcee whose husband (a dispicable cad) left her for a younger woman. She is aching for love. She has a spunky and delightful 13 year old daughter. Susan is a lovable klutz played beautifully by Teri Hatcher. She is after the new single guy on the block...hubba, hubba Mike and has gotten into some hilarious situations as well as accidently burning down her neighbor's house

Lynette - married with 3 kids, two of which are hyper active terrors. She was a successful businesswoman making big bucks but then got married and preganant and pregnant and became a stay at home frazzled mom. Inorder to accomplish everything in her daily schedule...she is now taking her kids' meds which calm the kids but makes her hyper.

Gabrielle - hot hottie married to neglectful rich businessman. She is having an affair with her gardener who attends the local HIGH SCHOOL. Some great scenes here. Mother-in-law came in to spy and just got hit by a car.

Bree - majorly OCD about house, cooking...you name it. She is a stepford wife. Hubby is tired of the perfection and wants out of marriage. I do believe this guy has issues that will come to light soon. Tonight, Bree's son did the hit and run involving Garielle's mother-in-law.

Mike - the hubabba, hubba new neighbor is single and pretending to be a plumber but in truth, he is a P.I. investigating the disappearance of someone's daughter. I do believe he likes Susan.

Paul - was married to the deceased Mary Alice and is covering up 'a dirty little family secret' that involves a baby blanket, a trunk that was buried under the backyeard swimming pool. The name Dana has come up. The son of Mary Alice and Paul seems to be a nut case and may have caused the 'dirty little secret.'

After Mary Alice's funeral...Susan finds a note written to Mary Alice stating that someone knows about her secret. This of course sets up the curiosity and investigations of our lovely housewives.

Oh...and we have Edie, another housewife played by Nicolette Sheridan who has been married several times and is constantly on the prowl. Sex kitten.

Ah yes and we have the nosy, bitchy, conniving neighbor we all love to hate.

Phew...I am sweating!!!!! Hope that's good enough.

Wondering - fill in some blanks here. And yep...hope it's that nosy neighbor!!!! I think Paul looked at the paper Edie was using in her real estate portfolio and noticed that it was the same kind of paper that the note was written on. I bet the SON wrote the note!!! The nosy neighbor would be too easy, besides she would be over at Paul's all the time.

Have seen still pics from it and I have to say, Teri Hatcher is once more gorgeous like in _Lois and Clark_. In the RAdioShack commercials with Howie Sportscaster she just looked too bony-wrinkly.

After the last episode...I am tickled. This show just digs in deeper...doesn't it?

Loved Teri Hatcher going through the floor like that. I thought it was stupid of her taking the money out and actually counting it. Oh...and what a hoot for the dog to bring in the dead bird.

As a mom, I can tell you that when you are feeling low about your mothering skills, it is always good to talk to other moms you trust. You learn that you are not alone.

Ack!! We unexpectedly traveled for Thanksgiving, and my protests to find a hotel room before "Desperate Housewives" aired were not taken seriously. So I missed the last ep. Crying or Very sad Myth, you so beautifully hit the highlights of the series above- would you please do the honor with the last ep? Or anyone else who has a minute? Smile Thanks.

LAS - I haven't looked at this thread since last Sunday night. Gosh....if memory serves (and it usually doesn't...snort)..............

Paul found out that Nicolette Sheridan got the stationary from Mrs. Huber. Paul went to Huber's house and questioned her about the note. She admits to writing it and says what a horrible thing Mary Alice did to that baby. Paul wrestles her to the ground and strangles her on the oriental throw rung...which was convenient because he wrapped her body up in it to cart out.

Sue offers to watch Mike's house to let workmen in for repairs. This gives her an opportunity to count the money in the cupboard and she finds the gun. While counting, she is interrupted and hustles the money upstairs into the bathroom and puts money in sink with gun...she then jumps on the floor and almost falls through but she is stuck. Mike comes home and finds her hanging through the floor and discovers the money i the sink and kicks her out.

John goes to hospital to see the Solis Mama (still in a coma) and tells Gabriella it's over. Gabriella talks to the priest and admits wrongdoing in her marriage but refuses to confess...because she still wants young Mr. Hunky Gardner.

Lynetter goes into meltdown from exhaustion and withdrawal from the kids' pills. Of course the kids are wild and she is just in bad shape. She hallucinates and sees mary Alice give her the gun to use on herself. She comes to her senses and runs out of the house handing the baby to Susan and taking off in the car. Susan and Bree find her later in a sports field and talk to her. She finds out that they were not 'perfect' moms either.

Ends with scenes switching between Paul choking Mrs. Huber and Mike and Susan getting 'it' on.

Bree's son is not repentant at all for hitting Mrs. Solis with the car. Oh and Bree and her hubby take the car to a bad area, leave it running and watch someone steal it.
