Hey, Z! Welcome to HMC. I just read Art Deco. Very good short story and you pretty much captured Drusilla, especially her stream-of-consciousness, non-sequiter mind. I really enjoyed your apposition of dark and light, sunlight and fairylight.
I will admit that the mushroom thoughts were a little distracting at first, but then I came back to who Dru is and it made perfect sense in the middle of the story. Also, your idea of a cave-turned-speakeasy intrigues me. I have a history degree so the idea was captivating. I am going to do some research to see if people did that - it makes sense!

Thanks for your comment. I read about the cave turned speakeasy and there was one outside miniapolis. What did you think of 'Push'?

your a history major, What time period is your favorite? Do you write historical fanfiction?
