#7 · Dec 2, 2004slay me- welcome to the asylum. Sorry you caught it so late. And don't hesitate to bring your topic to the main board (Mighty GDF? wtf? how long was I gone??) - we're out there dying to keep hashing it, as many of us believe "BtVS" was the actual best show ever. ("Seinfeld" may be Buffy's janitor, so there. Razz ) We love tossing around whatever's on people's minds. ew, that sounds gross. Not literally. Rolling Eyes
I thought the finale blew, too. Like a cheat- too short. I've heard others grouse about the last-minute rewriting of the show theme, but actually I could kind of buy that. Other parts were harder to swallow. The whole last season, being woefully Joss-less, was often painful to watch for me. Did not help knowing it was all about to be over, though, for the disappointment factor. I can't figure what ending would have made me happy in any way. (Angel-free would have gone a long way for me, though!! Twisted Evil )
Phew! Sorry, verbose is my trademark.
I didn't like the "Angel" end, either, 'cause it caught the writers by surprise and it shows. Joss used to end each season of "BtVS" as if the show were ending- what happened to that? Did he get smug? *gasp* OK, spank me for the blasphemy. Shocked But I think that's what went wrong, for "Buffy", for "Angel" and "Firefly", for all of us fans. And the bitter series finales.
