animated GIF help!

i've been trying my hand at making animated gifs today, and by looking at my siggy and avatar, you can tell I need help! can anyone reccommend a program for this? I am using Ulead Gif Animator 5, but if anyone knows anything better, please let me know!

there is animation shop that comes with paint shop pro that i think is very easy.

I am using ulead gif animator 5
Your ava seems a little fast to me on this cheer one I used 1/2 sec delay for the first 2 pictures and 1 sec for the third one.
