OK! Let's face it, to 20th FOX, Buffy=CASH! With Best of collections coming out in the UK, and in the US within a year or so, it is clear they will be milking us for cash as long as they can.
If they continue to do this (alright by me), they will *hopefully*, eventually, rerelease the Season collections with loaded features at prices marked up amazingly high. My question is this, what would YOU want on a special collector's edition(besides what we already have)?
Wide-Screen Season 4-7
Commentaries on all episodes
No 'scripts'
Trailers for each episode
DVD-ROM games
Special Effects Sequences
International Clips
I just want more commentaries from the cast. I still think it's very odd that Seth Green is the only person to do a commentary, when he's like the biggest actor that was ever on the show...you'd think other cast members would have some time to do that stuff too. Other than that I think the sets are fine, the featurettes and stuff are always nice. And I can't see them re-releasing everything. As for the best of collections....that has got to be the stupidest idea ever. I guess if you feel you have to have everything Buffy then go for it. I'll stick to....not duplicating my collection. Laughing

the cast does commentaries for the soon coming S7 dvd(i dont honestly know if itll be AS good as the producers.writers.directors, etc., but still intresting.)
i think the commentaries are the best special feature.
besides that, I think WS is VERY important. for people who have WS tvs and are sick of watching buffy all fat and squishy especially.
Well you can always get a multi-region dvd player and buy the UK sets that are in widescreen...not sure if they're anamorphic though. Confused

FYI: OMWF isn't anamorphic, so even if you had a 16:9 television it wouldn't really be widescreen, it's just meant to ahve the widescreen-cinematic feel on a 4:3 tv.

i really wouldn't be interested with a Best of collection. I see the point why Fox might want to do that, but they should have done that first and then release the season box sets. It would have made more sense because they would be wetting the consumer's appetite for more Buffy. That's just my 2 cents on the matter.
