Thank you all for your kind welcome! Still getting to know the workings of posting here, especially posting pics on posts, they are either to big or too small. Please bare with me. And how do you get your own avatar under your name and posts? Tried but nothing happened. hugs xx

Hi Sable, Welcome to HMC!

If you want to use an AVA or siggy banner that's not posted somewhere at HMC you need to have access to a 24 hour server. I think Sprook gave you the URLs for Photobucket and Ripway. I have access to a server so I don't know how to give instructions for either Photobucket or Ripway BUT, once you have them you should copy the URL for your photo then paste in the appropriate spot in your profile.

You can probably get more detailed answers if you look on some of the posts in the "Questions and Requests" forum. Some folks have given some really good answers over there.

Ok this is how you do it:

Find a server to host your pics (Photopbucket etc.).

Let's say you decide to use Photobucket. Create an account (yes it's free) and start an album by uploading your images from your hard drive to the album. When you have done this your image will be displayed as a thumbnail with three fields under it" "Url" "Tag" and "Img".

To use as an AVATAR: Go to your "Profiles" set up and in the 'Avatar" field at the bottom simply copy and paste the URL of your image.

Foe use as a SIGNATURE: Go to "Profiles" set up and in "signature" field copy and paste the IMG of your image. If Photobucket is not showing a IMG field, simply paste in the URL and type: at the end (no spaces!!).

Welcome welcome. Let me break out the welcome scooter for you.

Ta da!

Welcome Sable!?!?

Thank you all, you have been a great help. Think I have it 'sussed' now! You really are a great bunch! B/A FOREVER! hugs xx Laughing

Welcome aboard Sable.

Hi everyone! Sorry not been here for a while - you are such a interesting lot but have been 'poorly'

Have just posted a post at wbs -SPIT! I love this place but am still pineing for the wbs Angel board, and it struck me that, as a B/Aer, Always have been, Always will be, no matter what Joss may decide to do, sorry, lost my thread there for a mo, it struck me how many people, not having seen seasons 1 2 and 3 of BTVS, can't understand the total love of B/Aers for their beloved lovers! If I had never seen this wonderful love grow and witnessed its depth, then maybe I too would want one of Angels pairings in Angel The Series!

Just read about a B/S and A/C poster who never saw the above seasons and couldn't comprehend the faithfulness of B/Aers - watched the seasons 1 2 and 3 of BTVS and was 'spellbound' by their story and UNDERSTANDS!! In fact is now a complete B/Aer!

I know many fans HAVE watched these seasons and still do not agree but, the magic, oh the pure magic of our lovers long hard heart-breaking struggle to love, is over-whelming still! hugs xx
