We are here because we enjoyed this series, the actors and the wonderful writing, even if we wanted to strangle someone at times. Looking back...did anything from this series help change something in your life? Any life lessons? Any added awareness? Or was it just about that one hour of enjoyment every week?

The life lesson that I got from BTVS was....Stay true to yourself. You can never go wrong, when you do what is right.

It's not so much a life lesson - but If ever i'm walking home late at night and i'm afraid i'm gonna be mugged or summat, i always know that cause i've watched Buffy for so long, i will be able to kick the muggers ass!!

I also learned that:

1. never open strange sarcophogus'
2. Atonement's a bitch
3. some t-shirts'll just make you look like a crazy birthday cake
4. Never piss off an ancient hell-god
5. Not all little nerds with wavy hair and cute lopsided grins are good.
6. Sometimes you've just gotta go be bookman
7. If a vampire tries to rape you, just keep on denyin it...
8. You can sell your soul for a decent truck
9. People who betray get the best seat in hell
10. You can't assume that everyone's getting seduced
11. Brain Chips can be a bitch
12. the phrase "who ya gonna call" will probably never be used again
13. Don't be blind to the signs that someone might wanna snog your face off.
14. beware of strange old ladies when you're working late
15. Don't wear amulets when your in an apocalypse.
16. If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.
17. Handsome men will save you from Monsters
18. Sometimes, the best way to make up can be to buy someone clothes.
19. Resurrection spells aren't always the answer
20. Invoke the power of musical amulets and prepare to be a queen

Okay, i could go on forever with this Wink

Oh, SO many...but keep in mind, I was very young when I started watching Buffy, like 8 or 9, and so some of the lessons you guys might have learned earlier in life, I learned from the show...

1) It's OK to be a misfit. Well, I'm not one anymore, but I was for several years, and especially during that period of time (1st, 2nd season). I had my little tight-knit group of friends, and thought that was lame, and wanted to be like my sister who had 100. BtVS helped me realise it was all cool, and I just had my little scooby gang.

2) Fight BACK, damnit! You are nobody's bitch. Cool

3) Your family and your friends are the most important thing in the world. I mean, I knew that, but not because I knew knew it, and felt it and all, but because it was a slogan I was fed. The show helped me really understand this, and also add the friends part to the equation. Though not your kin, they ARE your family.

4) Laugh. If you're behind on school, had a fight with your best friend, or are facing inevitable death - laugh. Thank you, Xander.

5) In stead of whining, DO something about it...ode to Cordelia. OK, I have no ode, but imagine one right here.

6) Destiny schmestiny, you are who you choose to be, no matter what your teachers or your preacher or your rabbi says. There is no predestined fate that cannot be changed.

7) Care. About other people, about yourself, nothing is worse than indifference.

Cool Killing is bad, even if they do deserve it.

9) The devil has no horns, and he's probably a nice guy too. And as a matter of fact, he's not THAT evil...more evilish...

Thank Joss for, well, Joss...
Oh, we are SO back...never been backer.

Perhaps, but you still reminded me of the single most important lesson I have learned from the Jossverse, which I can't believe I forgot...I mean, it was my motto for like a year!

If nothing that we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.

Goddamn, that's a powerful line.

And easy on the compliments there, you're gonna make me blush... Embarassed

Oh, and the Wes line was from season 3...to Holtz's gang...couldn't resist...

When faced with a panic situation place large objects infront of doors and windows.

oh yes and there IS a differnece in being a fan and being a fanatic.

You can make quality TV more than just a NOVA special.
Hey ho let's go. Let it snow; Let it Snow; Let it Snow....

Ramones - That's actually an important one...TV CAN be art, and can be as good as, or even better, than movies. And I'm talking good movies here, yo...

1) It's okay to be weird.

2) Take care of your friends and they'll take care of you.

3) Falling in love doesn't mean a happy ending.

4) Life is short. Make the most of it.

Wish - you and your stalking...ROTF

Wondering - yep, but don't you just want to try it??????? Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Yum.

One of the things that drove me crazy about Buffy was her inability to 'face' prsonal issues or discussions when things needed to be said inorder to clear the air. I think Joss showed the negative consequences to this kind of behavior. You need to face matters and you need to communicate. I always bear this in mind and talk about this to my children.

hey I' m getting into this convo late. Did I learn any life lessons from Buffy...hmmmmmm
Well I have to say it for the most part it was entertainment for me. Not that there wasn't some meaning there but i think I tended to identify with it more than "learn" anything. I started watching when I was first married and still trying to get a career going and starting a family. For me personally I conncted to it on the whole "I'm confused and trying to find where I fit in the world angle" I was fun to watch it and say wow I have thet same problem but you know what no big demon tryng to kill me! tee hee hee
