Mack the BloodyTHREAD STARTER
This is the first in my "Slayer Vampire" series. I'm not done with it, but I need some feedback and tell me if it's good or not.
I beg you not to be nice, mostly if you don't like it.
Raise & Fall of Champions
The streets of LA were quiet. Mostly where the Wolfram & Hart building was. Now there is nothing but a large pile of rubble at ground zone. Nothing stirred there anymore. All was quiet except for a small alley where a war was taking place.
The fighting was mostly Angel, Spike and Illyria. Gunn fought for the first 30 minutes, but stumbled. Illyria pulled him out and put him in a safe place. She was puzzled to see that he was still alive. She thought after 10 minutes, hed be dead. Humans, she thought, are stronger then she realized.
Angel wasnt fighting to his full strength. Spike noticed this and pondered why. Spike took many stabs and slashes, but it didnt stop him from fighting.
Another demon went down thanks to Angels sword, and then he noticed something from behind the Army of Hell. Another army. Soon after that, he heard something from the rooftops of the alley. FIRE!!! Arrows came flying down into the army of demons. Both vampires looked up to see Andrew and about 10 Slayers with crossbows, who are now reloading. Once they all were ready, Andrew gave the order again, FIRE!!!
Angel focused back on the battle and saw a figure wielding two long knives, cutting through the demons as if they were water. She had brown hair that reached just below her neck. Who are you? Angel asked once she was near him.
Lucille Carrier, Slayer. Nice to meet you. After that, she went back into fighting. About 40 girls between the ages of 15 and 23 followed her, killing demons whenever they saw one.
Spike had almost had it. A demon planted a knife deep into his side and he fell on his knees. Illyria came and fought off the demons around him. She attempted to pick up Spike and put him with Gunn, but Spike pushed her away and kept fighting once he reached his feet.
It was about three hours since the battle began, and now its over. The few demons that werent on the alley ground dead, fled. Spike finally felt it was a good time for him to pass out. Angel jumped off of what was now a dragons corpse. Illyria picked up Gunn, surprised to see him still alive. After Lucille wiped her knives off with a handkerchief from her pocket, she noticed Spike on the ground. Since everybody else was either badly wounded or carrying somebody else, she lifted Spike up, put his arm around her shoulder and carried him out.
Angel didnt know what to do now. He wasnt supposed to be alive passed this point. He followed the Slayers, who were gathering at Angels old dwellings, the Hyperion Hotel.
Bodies of Slayers piled up in the lobby. Lucille quickly let go of Spike, setting him down on a stair, and went to the wounded. She yelled out to the Russian girl behind the counter, Sophia, get me supplies. Anything and everything you can find. NOW!
Whats the count? Lucille asked Sophia as she washed off blood from her hands in the kitchen sink.
Nine. Nine Slayers are dead, 3 are still critical but theyll pull through. Sophia replied, tried to hold back the grim images of her friends, sisters wounded and dead.
Lucille caught the sadness in her voice, Hey, were alive. We can keep fighting, but now we have to fight harder, trying to sooth Sophia, for them. She nodded. How are the vampires doing?
Sophia hasnt quite read up on vampire history so she didnt know of Angel or Spike and what they had done. The tall one is fine, but the blond lost a lot of blood. I think that by morning hes not going to be anything resembling a body.
I guess wed have to start up a blood bank then.
Spike was slipping in and out of consciousness. Illyria stood there for a while to see if hell be alright. Lucille came in with three bottles full of blood. Illyria stood back as she fed Spike Slayer blood. She finally took notice of the Slayer leader. I know what you are. You hide it well, but not from me.
I didnt expect running into an Old One. If I did, maybe Id camouflaged better.
I smell your blood. Its unique and yet familiar. Said Illyria, raising her chin.
Never underestimate an Ancient Demon. Lucille murmured to herself. She pulled out a large piece of cloth and duct tape to put on the large slash in Spikes side.
Spike finished the first bottle and was now in a deep slumber. Lucille took the two remaining bottles and placed them by the window. They will learn the truth. And the allegiance they give you will be gone. Illyria warned.
Then lets hope they dont find out soon. She turned to face Illyria, I need them to trust me if they want to survive. Lucilles eyes begged Illyria not to tell anyone the truth about her. She nodded and left the room. Lucilles secret was safe, for now.
Lucille walked downstairs and was then confronted by Angel. What do you think you were doing? he demanded.
Saving your ass! matching his tone.
I didnt ask for your help.
But you needed it. Your friends needed it! Did you honestly believe that 2 souled vampires, a power-depleted Old One, and a wounded human had a chance with the Armies of Hell?!?
We were willing to die fighting. Angel said with a little pride.
And then who would have been left? Hmm? I know why you wanted to die, but your friends Lucille was trying to control her anger. I looked into you friends eyes. They didnt want to die. They have faced many foes in their time, but this was nothing to sneer at! You knew that, they didnt. She looked at Angel with disgust, Some Champion.
She left him there to stew in his own guilt. Its true. Angel knew that they would all die, but they had hope that theyd pull through. Angel lost hope when Fred died. What was the point anymore? Were all going to die. We should die fighting. But Angel picked the time and place for that to happen for all of them. Hes responsible.
Lucille was just about to reach the lobby until Sophia yelled at her from the railing. Luce! Its Dana. Shes out of control. Lucille ran back up stairs and pushed young Slayers out of the way to get to Dana. She was going crazy again. The room she was in was in shambles: holes in the walls, lamps smashed, bed turned over and ripped, windows broken, etc.
Calm down Dana. Its going to be alright. Luce noticed that Dana had a large piece of broken glass in her hand, ready to stab anyone who comes near her. No ones going to hurt you. Im here. She held out her hand and slowly walked towards the shaking, unstable, young girl.
Dana wasnt being reached and she thrusted the broken glass at the approaching figure. Lucille was way to fast for her and Luce had her in a headlock faster then she could blink. She was in full force now: scratching, clawing, biting, kicking, punching, screaming.
Sophia came into the room with a hypodermic needle. She waiting until Lucille had the girls arms. Then she stuck it in the girls shoulder. Dana then started feeling weak. First in the ankles, then the knees, the waist, the wrists, elbows, shoulders, then the neck. After that she was off into Snooze-Land. Lucille picked her up and carried her into a different room. One of the girls who witnessed the fiasco said, Told you that you should have had her in restraints!
Which one of you were responsible for giving Dana her meds?! Lucille shouted in outrage. Well! None of the girls answered. If she was kept on her medication, none of this would have happened!
Shes a murderer! Shouted another girl.
That's it so far.
Feedback Please.
