Okay...who is going to succumb tothe friday 'after Thanksgiving sales"? The early bird specials starting at 6 a.m.....LOL. I used to do that when certain toys were out and supply short and demand high. The bonding in the lines over a cup of coffee waiting for the doors to open. Ahhh...glad those days are over...or are they?
I have to admit that some of the ads are tempting me this year, but argh, I think I'll go see ALEXANDER instead. Eat popcorn and let others kill each other over parking spaces and merchandise.
I thought it might be a good thing to do a thread with some easy shopping hints. I offer
Overstock.com com. I just bought a 3 inch foam mattress topper. They can run into major bucks. S&H was only 2.95. Can I say...HEAVEN especially if you have a touchy back. Got one for my son too and he is so much more rested in the morning!
Bacario.com- need to get someone you love a watch, jewelry? Check this site and then check the store prices. Great savings!!! I bought my daughter a Movado for a 'milestone' birthday and saved 60% off jewelry store/retail store prices.
Smart Bargains.com - Designer for less. Hey, if you don't buy, it's still fun to look.

Well, we don't have Thanksgiving, but i know what the Christmas rush is like!!! Shocked
We put up our christmas tree last night ( Shocked I know - that's my crazy mother for ya) and now i'm starting to get a little excited. I just hate buying presents! There's the rush, and the slow people who have all the time in the world and my god - i am the worst present buyer in history!!! i have no idea what to buy!!!
*suddenly panics and runs around like a headless chicken*
Hi Myth and PPP. Yes, I'm going Friday but I'm not happy about it. My sisters and me are getting together to do alittle shopping and go to the movies. A day without the kiddies. Then we're meeting the men folk and kids for dinner. I'm going mostly for the socializing. Maybe I won't kill anyone over the parking thing. Maybe.
I'm working that day, but thankfully not at 6 a.m. when the stores open.
FYI - The 'rush' has already begun. At the fabric store where I work we've had Christmas supplies since November 1 and they are already on sale at 50% off. Crafters are about 2-4 weeks ahead of other people so they can assemble the gifts.
BTW, polar fleece is a sign that Satan exists. Trust me on that one.

It's a must.. I have 6 kids to buy for (not mine LOL) all under the age of 7.. can't beat those prices man.
then saturday it's the traditional family outing to the Tree Farm.. I know I'm 25 but .. I love that part!! LOL

i am probably the first person to have all my chrissie shopping done already. actually by the beginning of november. pretty much i am having my christmas this sunday. It's a shame that the japanese don't celebrate christmas, that is the only regret i have about going to japan is that i will miss christmas. but it will be alright!
Does that mean I still have two weeks to give Otts hints about what I want for Christmas AND my birthday????? Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
I go out first thing in the morning for those sales only if I see something that makes a great gift and is too good to pass up... although last year I went out and bought only for ME! Embarassed Hey, I wanted new flannel jammie and sheets!

oh, another shopping tip - ebay.com I found a great gift on amazon.com but it wouldn't be shipped til late January cuz it's kind of rare. I found the same thing on ebay (brand new, still in it's shrink wrap) available right away and it was CHEAPER!!!
