Hey everyone,
Hope all is well. Been so busy here and also a bit under the weather the past few days.
Anywho, it seems that Puxsawtawney Phil saw his shadow which means six more weeks of winter so come on in and stay warm.
CNN this morning saying that huge snowfall in London. Lucky Londoners have a foot of snow  .
Where's my snow Dammit! :P

Hey, Lone.
Good old Puxsawtawney saw his shadow and it begins to snow here in Virginia. So very lovely. Probably means another snow day for me tomorrow. Grrrr.
Hi everyone else who stumbles in!

Teaching is swallowing me whole. Off to find a Spike bot and some beer.

Dang. I missed the porn bot
Well I was filling in at a writers centre doing memberships but I got caught on jury service (again...call up no. 7) & had thought I had managed to avoid doing any :? . But no, until late next week I'm sitting on a murder trial. Again. What is up with me & murder trials?????
Oh & though most of you are snowed in, suffering freezing toes up north of my state has had over 1 metre of water in 24hrs (with 2 imminent cyclones - like hurricanes forming) whilst the south of the country has been burning with bushfires whilst suffering 115+ temperatures (low humidity). Meanwhile, my city is sitting in the 90s with 95%+ humidity every day. *sighs* I HATE hot, humid, stinking summers!!!! (though I don't want my house under water either).

Glori - I've sat on one jury....for something stupid and minor. I've been called 5 times since then but I always get kicked off because I'm an attorney so I've never had to sit more then 4 hours in the jury assembly room :D I clerked for a judge while in law school and had murder trials all the time. Gruesome but the trials went fast unless it was a high profile defendant....like Kervorkian (Dr. Death). Neighbor disputes and builder cases were lengthy, boring and basically horrendous.
We had 2 days in the mid 30's here but we are back down in the single digits  The good news is that we are going to get 4 straight days in the 40's starting on Friday. Woohoo!! Sunbathing time!!!!!!
A shout out to our friends in Kentucky. Hope you are doing okay with the ice storm and damages. I can't even imagine being without heat and electricity for so long.
Some days its not even worth chewing through the restraints.

I'm not in Kentucky, but I'm pretty damn close. Luckily, we only lost power once for about 15 minutes...just enough time for us to get out all the flashlights, start a fire in the fireplace, and drag out all the extra blankets. We're buried under more snow that we just got yesterday. The kids missed another day of school today, after missing all but one day last week. And now you're telling me that I have 6 more weeks of this stuff? Damn Punxsawtawney Phil to the eternal fires of hell!

I was worried about you Val and the Sultan.
Things on the prairie are typical. Last few days have been chilly okay cold but we are headed to a warm up near 70 on Friday then back to the frigid temps.
I hear ya about Spring Val I so wanted to dump that rodent in the Kaw.
Hope you are all fine and dandy
WOW murder trail. Hey they never pick me for a trial maybe it is my kill them demeanor. or the masters degree.
Whatever it keeps me on the streets.

ducking flying bots as she enters
Sheesh.
Hey Val, Ramones, Everyone!
We've had a few days of snow out here in Virginia. I don't mind snow. Hate ice storms. We had a wee little one about a week ago. Better than the storm of 2007 that had me housebound for four days. Grrrr. Right now, it's just chilly (15F).
There was something else I was going to say, but then I forgot.
Val - How are you doing?

The little monster is napping so i thought i would stop and say hi and post a little update.
Aiden will be 6 months in 14 days! He's just getting so big. His latest endeavor is standing. He can't pull himself up but he can stand and hold himself up and push himself standing with his legs. He's gonna be cruising around here sooner than I like. Teething has been KILLING me. He has 2-3 days a week where he's up all night crying. Mommy needs some sleep. No sign of the culprits yet though. He's also found his voice so he spends all day screaming, babbling, giggling and squealing. Its not very quiet in here.
VAMPIRE LADY WROTE:Are the snow and freezing temperatures gone yet?
Nope.....biut we are going to be in the 40's for a few days before we go back to deep freeze.
Whoa...enough spamming going on!

I think I have fixed the problem. I didn't want to do it, but from now on any new users registering on the board will have to be confirmed by me through email. That way zero spammers get through completely. You already can't post on the board as a guest, now you can't even register without me allowing it.
That should stop them. :D

*comes in, kicks some old dead bots out of the way, turns up the music & reads a book*
Coming in for some R&R before the week ahead. Trial should be wrapped up by end of the week. They won't un-foreman me (so I will be the one to say those words :? ). Had a TrueBlood marathon (after a Dr Horrible marathon) with a friend last night (was up til 4am) to give myself a sense of reality .......anything wrong with that sentence???
Mind you the world is cracked! On weather I mean. We've got most of you lot under snow & freezing away. Then, in my state way up north are townships having 1m of water in a day (er, um....*races to conversion site* 3feet of water) whilst the south of the country (basically, draw a ruler about an inch or so below Sydney) is suffering 115+ temperatures (some places up to 12+ days in row) and the bushfires have wiped out some townships (750+ homes wiped out, 550 of which are in one small region). The death toll is currently at 85 & destined to rise. The biggest tragedy is that quite a number of the fires are arson started
So I repeat the world has cracked ....weatherwise! *ends rant*

Glori - I was just reading about the fires in the southeast of your country. I have a friend who is visiting Syndney right now and she's been sending me emails about your wonky weather, too. And here I am, wanting to visit. Think I'll wait until the weather levels out. And I have the money. Australia is one of the places "when the kids go to college and we retire" list. :D

WOOHOO!! We are going to have 2 days in the 50's this week!!! There'll be rain but still...the 50's.
This is interesting. Any fans of ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT here? I dearly loved that sitcom. Well, rumor has it that a movie is being planned. The script is being worked on by the same writers I believe and Ron Howard is tagged as the director. Ron Howard  ????

Super - February is one of the more crappier months weather wise - it's high risk bushfire season (the south east is getting temperatures hotter than the Sahara...literally) basically it's desert heat that comes across along with the winds. And for the upper part of the country (all the way across) it's cyclone season (which would equate to the hurricane season your southern west part of the country cops each year).
Everyone breathes better (literally where I live due to the very high humidity) when we reach about mid-March  .
Have woken to the sad news death toll is now over 105 with more bodies being expected to be found when emergency services can get back. The fires have been white hot firestorms *gulp* :? . I'm hoping the heat goes down for those down south.

Matt - You're my hero! Thank you for ridding us of the spammers. You deserve a big kiss for that. MWAH!
Danny - Can I sleep with you? Wait. Let me rephrase. Can I go back to sleep for the next six weeks just like you? There, that's better. ;)
Glori - I was worried about you when I heard about the fires down your way. I'm so glad to hear you're alright!
Nat - I'm doing good. I'm actually trying my hand at writing. I have almost 8 chapters of my Twilight fanfic completed. It's 8 more chapters than I thought I could write when I started. So that's good, I guess.
Myth - Wasn't Ron Howard the Exec Producer of the Arrested Development series?

Val - Now that you mention it, somewhere in the back of my mind, through oodles of cobwebs, I seem to recall Ron Howard's name connected to AD.
Glori - Here's hoping you are okay. We are seeing the destruction in Australia from the fires on the news. Reports say that there are two arsonist resetting fires as soon as they are put out. F'ing bastards...so many deaths and loss of property.
I watched a wee bit of the interview of the single mom with the octuplets and the 6 kids kids at home. I went out on my balcony and screamed.

In the 50's today with rain. Flood warnings galore. Tomorrow we go back to the cold with snow. Ah Michigan. Still, I think I prefer this winter over the last one. Last winter we had the cold and some snow but about 10 wind storms and nothing freaks me out like high winds.
Superspy - Everyday something new is revealed about the uber producing mom. She plans to support them on student loans? Argh.

Back at ya Ramones! Happy Valentines Day to those who celebrate it. My other half & I just do a card swap as our anniversary is on the 19th so the 14th tends to be ignored somewhat (though I must giggle & say I was given 10 red roses with gum leaves for greenery.....he knows I hate 'the standard' aka 12 etc so he went for 10  )

Hey Sweet. Hey everybody! Just poppin' in to say howdy.
How can we already be halfway through February? I just don't get it. Perhaps I've been sucked in to time speeding vortex. But I doubt it. Guess my mother was right. Time really does move faster as we age. That really sticks in my craw.
Not the time moving faster but my mother being right.

We had a few days of nice warmish weather....up to the 60's. It was great....but then I noticed that when the snow melted, all I could see was the leaves, twigs and dirt that we have to rake up when the weather finally breaks. Crap. I am actually looking forward to the incoming snow to cover this mess up again!!
Best thing for me about the snow melt? Being able to see the road for oncoming traffic while staying in my car!! Honest...the mound at the end of my driveway was 4 feet high.

Hey guys! Just popping in to post a quick update.
Things here are going well. Aiden is starting to get a move on, keeping mommy VERY busy!
Here are some new pics!
[image] Decided he really needed to drag the socks everywhere, and yes he's under the coffee table. His doing lol
Sweet he is gorgeous - you're such a clever person! Oh & the cute thing is like an ultimate weapon.................
If you get photos of him under coffee tables when he is 21....then you have evidence 8-)
Quick hey (though technically at time of typing it is MARCH here people  ). I've been busy surviving the following:- heat murder trial (found not guilty of murder; guilty of manslaughter) heat finishing up a temp job at local writers centre heat getting ready for my big trip to Melbourne for the inaugural con I was attending heat the con (where I got to meet, repeatedly chat with & was given a hug spontaneously at the gala dinner with Sherrilyn Kenyon) heat food poisoning/some bizarre fever inducing bug heat heat heat
oh yeah & did I mention the heat????
Missing getting by here regularly - will be more with it now that manic february is gone :P
