Anyone besides me and VL watching?
My review: I'm a fan of the Vampire Diaries book series the show was based off of, so I was a little bit nervous about whether or not the show was going to completely ruin them. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they hadn't. Sure there are changes from the book, i.e. the removal of a main character, giving Elena a brother, making Stefan and Damon American, etc., but I can understand how they need to stray from the books. They are making a weekly series, which I'm sure they're hoping will last for quitee a few seasons, as opposed to just movies where they have a better ability to stay true to the books. Yes, there was some bad dialogue, and poor acting, but that's true in a lot of shows. My one big complaint is how fake it looked when Stefan attacked Damon and they went flying out the window. And I wasn't a fan of how the vampires in this show looked when they vamped out.
