Okay peeps, there are new programs starting so here's a thread to mention what you watched and if it is good, so so or just plain bad. Maybe we can find one to discuss and give a thread all it's own.

I'll start... :P

GLEE - Yep, I like it. It's fun, it's witty and the young actors seem to be really talented.

COMMUNITY - It was actually funny. There were some 'sight' gags that had me chuckling.

FRINGE - Season premiere. I don't remember the finale last season. Did Leonard Nimoy tell Olivia what to find????? I am a bit upset that her friend is dead and his likeness is now an 'other/alien' There was too little use of Mark Goss.

Glee - I tried to watch what seemed to be a premiere BUT a banner across the bottom carried a constant string of remarks about the action being made by what appeared to be some rather immature juveniles.

I don't love "Glee", I don't hate it but I don't see the "brilliance" in it that people keep boasting. I LOVE Jane Lynch in it but that's really it. If I didnt DVR it, I wouldnt seek it out honestly.

"Community" was VERY VERY funny, that was a pleasant surprise for sure.

I don't watch Fringe, I think the blonde is horribly miscast. I think I wouldve liked it more if she wasnt on it but she made me lose interest last season so I stopped watching it, and "Pasty" was just there for snarky commentary and that wore on me quickly too.

I flatly refuse to watch that Vampire Diary bullshit. Twilight is poorly written crap and this is just a cheap imitation of that so F that garbage.

Actually, the Vampire Diary books were written at least 10 years before Twilight, so Twilight would be a cheap imitation of VD.

I watched HEROES last night and all I can say is....meh. How could a program start out with such promise and become a mess? What is this season about? Redemption? Going back to basics and trying to be normal? Sylar kept me interested before but the stories are just so...meh. I did enjoy Clare's new college chum who wants to investigate Clare's rommate's suicide/murder.

LOST made me want to urp the last seasons but I may watch the new season. There is the promise that things will be explained and I am fascinated by Ben and I love Sawyer. Never could stand Jack. It took me by surprise when I found out that the actor who plays Ben is married to Carrie Preston who lays Arlene on TB.

I tend to watch HOUSE in the summer when there are re-runs. I was sad when they did the 'crazy' storyline. Argh.

I may watch THE GOOD WIFE tonight and DVR THE FORGOTTEN....a COLD CASE rip-off.

I say we start a thread for FLASH FORWARD. It's being hyped as series that is very discusable and there are clues every week. Yes? No?

I tried to watch Mercy and meh but then I don't watch any of the pseudomedical shows so I may not be a good judge. They repeat the mistake BTVS made of having MT play a character who is less mature than MT and the other 2 main nurses sleep around too much.

Myth wanna bet on whether or not Clare's new chum is actually the one who killed her roommate.

Never could stand Jack.
Ditto.

Fogey - I am betting with you :P I bet the girl has powers that made the roommate jump from the window. For some reason she wants to get close to Clare.

MERCY was so very very mediocre. Gah. The only thing I thought was interesting was the black nurse and her unwanted attraction to the police officer. I knew I liked NURSE JACKIE on cable but I now know I freaking love NURSE JACKIE. They have the most adorable nurse in training on that show and her name is Zoe. Imagine me when MT's name is Chloe on MERCY. It just burns me to no end that NBC cancels LIFE for mediocre crap like MERCY.

Watched DOLLHOUSE because there was news that it has been improved for S2. So, all I can say about episode 1 of S2 is....huh? That was an incoherent mess.

Anyone else watch FLASH FORWARD? I think it has promise but I am nervous that it may be another LOST.

Did anyone else watch Eastwick. I thought that it was OK, but it seems to be a fairly weak version of Charmed. I'll give it a few more episodes to see if it gets any better.

Watched the premiere of "Stargate Universe". Is it possible to crew a space ship (cast a show) entirely with red shirts?

Flash Forward has been decent. Also totally digging "Community", just pissed that they're putting it against Flash Forward so it will probably be cancelled.

Okay, I've given some of the new shows 2 to 3 weeks to see if I got pulled in. I got to tell you that even though I rarely eat meat, I feel deeply denied of prime rib because I am getting pablum constantly. I guess I have to live with lowering my standards or became a gym addict or bookworm. Now after saying that....

FLASH FORWARD. A biggish yawn here for me but I am still game to see where it leads and how the clues add up. It just occurred to me that if the mystery is solved by the end of the season and FF gets renewed then what about next season? Another FF? I have a feeling that some characters in FF will have a FF that occurs later then April 29th.

EASTWICK. I thought it was going to be total crap. I am mildly pleased. It is unexpectedly cute and keeps me coming back for more. I like the actresses and think they are doing a fine job.

MERCY. I will DVR it for rainy days when I want to sit and veg. It is better then I thought it would be but MT acts almost exactly like Dawn sometimes it makes my skin crawl.

COUGAR TOWN. I am liking it and I laughed my arse off with the last episode. Same with MODERN FAMILY. If I miss them, it won't break my heart but both shows are enjoyable.

I am loving FRINGE, GREY'S and I DVR DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES just because the plots just twist and turn in delightful ways.

Oh, I almost forgot....I do love GLEE. I hope it maintains the strong storylines and acting. Good cast.

STARGATE UNIVERSE was hohum but it was a premiere and they loaded it I guess so the series could start off to a shaky start. I'll watch because I am Scifi Girl. Same with SANCYUARY.

I will say that the only must sees for me thus far is DEXTER, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE and Californication. The latter is an absolute hoot this year. BORED TO DEATH is proving to be good and I look forward to the building of that series.

I agree with the skin crawl, but that is the character they wrote not MT acting that way. I have wasted at least 2 hours this season one watching an episode of Mercy and one watching an episode of Gossip Girl. I guess I am not part of the target audience either show is aiming at  But it was a lot of fun seeing MT play 2 such different characters in the same year.

Tried a second episode of Stargate Universe - still not seeing even a single character I can have empathy for and no matter what the rest of the plot is like, if I con't care what happens to any of the characters it is hard to keep interested in the action.

Fogey - I'll give SU a few more tries. I totally agree with you about not being able to zero in on a character to like or empathize with. I kind of think the writers/PTB want us to empathize with the young nerdish guy. I do like Robert Carlyle but I am not sure about his character as yet...he seems sinister but ten again, he did save the ship. I would love to have gotten a glimpse of the world those two idiots ventured into through the gate.

I forgot to mention CASTLE before  I seriously enjoy this series and the entire cast. I make sure I watch or DVR this show every week.

Oh well close she at least was being set up to look like a baddie, but it was the black actress who used to be on Veronica Mars that did the deed.

I agree 110% on CASTLE - one of my don't miss shows.

Despite my horrible, no time to do anything-type schedule, I manage to find time to watch my shows (after recording the majority of them). So, my must sees currently (and there are some guilty pleasures in here), in no particular order:

-One Tree Hill
-Gossip Girl
-Castle!!!
-Supernatural!!! (This season is 10,000 times better than the crap that was last season!)
-Vampire Diaries
-Smallville (As much as the past few seasons have kind of disappointed me, this season really isn't. Somehow they've managed to kick it back into gear and get me actually caring about them again.)
-Dollhouse
-Stargate Universe (I was amused by Fogey's 'red shirt' comment, and kind of agreed about a caring factor in the first ep, but I've really gotten into the show. Eli's my fave and I kind of like the 2nd in command military guy (I suck at remembering character names sometimes), and it'll be interesting to see how they manage to make it through and survive.)
-Sanctuary
-Bones

I'm still getting caught up on this past season of True Blood (I've watched the first 4 episodes) and haven't started watching this season's Dexter or Heroes yet, but they're also on my list.

Steph - DEXTER has been very slow moving this Season but this past episode just kicked it up a notch and should move forward nicely from here on.

Woohoo....someone else who watches SANCTUARY. It really has moved forward this Season. SU was better this past week.

I still cringe over DH. I find it totally without direction. The only characters that slightly interest me are Boyd, Victor and Topher. I have no empathy for the dolls at all and least of all for Echo. I really like ED but find her acting to be quite bad and repetitive.

Steph - Watch EASTWICK when it goes into reruns. I think you might enjoy it.

My thought processes are a little sluggish this morning but thanks to Myth I can avoid trying to write and instead just say ditto to:
"Woohoo....someone else who watches SANCTUARY. It really has moved forward this Season." and ditto to "SU was better this past week."

If DH disappears during November and then comes back w/back to back eps in Dec, then I would assume that Summer Glau will be in some of those eps. One thing about this series....Fox has stood by it but then again, it could be due to the fact that Don Brought up....cheap to produce.

I think I forgot to mention THE GOOD WIFE. This is a wonderful drama. Great acting, good stories and excellent supporting cast. I got hooked from the first ep and I won't miss it.

Fogey - the ratings for SU slip every week. I wonder if Syfy will stick by it.

I hope Syfy (stupid spelling change!) sticks by SGU. I'm really starting to enjoy it. But I seem to be one of those people that if it's a continuing franchise and I've watched the previous, I'll force myself to find something I like in it and will eventually like the whole thing. I adored SG1 and SGA, so I'm making myself like SGU, and it's working.

I watched the first ep of THE PRISONER. A re-envisioned PRISONER. I don't remember much about the first one, probably because I caught some of it on late night showings years after it came out. Even with as little as I remember, I think the cult classic remains safe. Geez, BSG started a trend to remake old cult classics but at least the writers did a good job there....until the last 40 minutes of the finale.
