What are you watching? Personally can't stand these shows and MORE are coming out because they are cheaper to produce. I am guilty of watching American Idol still and I do love the dance shows especially SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE but that is about it for me.
What do you think is decent? A complete mess? Beyond stupid?
Some days its not even worth chewing through the restraints.

Top Chef and Hells Kitchen although HK is TOTALLY scripted. It amuses me.

"Step It Up and Dance" on Bravo, "How Clean is Your House" on BBC America, pretty much everything on VH1. I know it's wrong, but I can't help myself.

I'm only watching Britain's Got Talent. It's a scream and a half.
I also always have to watch those documentaries about house-bound morbidly obese people. I have learned so much about diet and food from watching docus about people on both ends of the spectrum, from dangerously skinny onwards. It's pretty much compelling viewing.

Been there, done that. I'm talking she doesn't get why you clean your kitchen sink every day. Intellectually, she understands what bacteria is and its role in illness, but she somehow doesn't believe it can affect her. Hence the kitchen sink goes unscrubbed unless I yell about it or do it myself.

Yes, it's sad. :( Have you seen the new pics of her wandering the English highway? They're over at http://www.thesuperficial.com. Depressing, indeed.

Crikey, she looks even more awful. You wouldn't believe she's only 24, she looks about 50. And those gashes on her arms.

Oh, sure, they'll believe that! The Secret Service probably has a crazy file on me, I've written so many letters to W as governor of Texas and president. About how much of an asshat he is. But I was nice and used words like "short-sighted policies" and "hypocrisy".

Top Chef is my favorite
I have to admit to watching Ladette to Lady. It is a BBC reality show. I also watch a bit of "you are what you eat" also BBC and WOW that is scary. I also find myself watching What not to wear. I love Clinton.
What do you do when the one thing you need to save your life is the one thing that would make life unbearable?

I saw Amy on the news wandering the streets. I like her music and it is so sad that someone 24 is so messed up. Uless this gal gets some good help soon, I don't think that she will make it.
Who the hell is this Heidi Montag and why is she always in the mags and on tv entertainment reports? Her boyfriend Spencer makes me cringe. I can't believe people actually watch their program. I'm gagging more over her now than Paris Hilton and I never thought that that would be possible!

You know, Hippie, I drove by Food Network's corporate HQ here, and I thought that I spotted someone out there with a placard with "I HEART RACHAEL RAY" on it. Now, that I think about it, she looked suspiciously like Nora.

Jamie Oliver did a one-off show called "Eat to save your life" - did you guys get to see it? THAT was scary, but a must-see for anyone with a pulse.

It's all book smarts, baby, no common sense whatsoever. :P
Sprook-I think they put visual crack in their programming. I was beside myself when "Rock of Love 2" ended. "I Love Money" begins soon though, and features everyone's faves from ROL, Flavor of Love, and I Love NY. I gotta say, Pumkin is looking rough. No way she's only 25.

FIATLUX WROTE:Anyone else still watching Dancing with the Stars?
Me....what can I say. It's been just so so this season for me. I want Kristi to win. I am totally stoked that SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE starts in a few weeks.
I probably would have stopped watching AI but David Cook is awesome. I am quite sure that David A. will win because he is so young and he appeals to the tweens, moms and grandmas. Cook is a 'find'. I adored Melinda Doolittle from last season and I am definitely buying her cd when it comes out. The woman is an amazing artist.

Myth - yeah, I hear ya. I think that, for me, the stars are almost TOO good. Call me crazy, but I like to see people improve week to week. And that group dance was a SAD mishmash of I don't know what.

I love David Cook. Archuleta creeps me out. He comes across as emotionally stunted, like he might turn into a Michael Jackson if he had the same type of success. Syesha had gotten better and better-I hope she finds something that is a good fit for her, like musical theatre.

I know what you mean, re: visual crack. I want to look away but somehow I can't. Except I could not bring myself to watch "I Know My Kid's a Star," I just can't get into parents pushing their children into something. That's a rant better saved. Hah. Rock of Love 2. . . right there with you. I haven't seen previews for this "I Love Money" hmmm. Pumpkin = 25? Are you kidding me? Wow. :o

Sprook-Take a look at this. VH1 has hit new lows........or highs, depending on your POV. ;)
Hippie - I just can't. . .I will admit to watching a few episodes of the first but I couldn't do it. I will not be able to attend the viewing of season two.
Ahhh perezhilton.com. . .good times.

Yeah, I love me some Perez. And Superficial. I had to watch "Rehab"-I wanted to see if their program was typical of an inpatient treatment facility. It definitely was, and Dr. Drew is a great doc.

So you think you can dance (just done the 1st season in Oz .... and no ruby slippers were seen/worn/mentioned) is the only one I openly aim to watch.
When Australian Idol comes round it'll be background noise whilst I iron (it's always on the Sunday night timeslot *lol*).
