Mr, P Ver 4.2THREAD STARTER
Hello fellow Hellhounds,
I have been putting off posting this for sometime, mainly because I have been ridiculously busy. After a few years of shit kicking in TV studios I have finally been getting camera work and suddenly been working around the clock. Also Mrs P and I have been trying to have a baby and the first attempt ended in an early miscarriage, so I have been dedicating my personal life to support my wife through that ordeal and preparing for the next go.
So all these factors has prompted me to post this, my last thread on HMC. :(
Buffy the TV show lead me to first discover online communities and discussion forums, firstly through The Bronze, but it was here that I actually became a contributing member of such a community. And despite being involved in many more boards over the years HMC has always been my favourite and the most dear to me -and that has always been due to people that frequented it.
Unfortunately many of those people are gone, and the almost annual loss of the entire board, and this new board that I really can't get a hang of (which constantly logs me out and won't let me back in - I'm on my last email account!) and my work load means that I have decided to formally bid you all farewell and not just fade away unannounced like so many others.
So firstly: To Matt (& Eric and all the others who actively ran the site - thanks a millions for such an awesome little corner of the Interweb. I can't tell you how much I appreciated it!
And to my homies: Myth (my favourite - and you know it), Doc (Wretched - my mentor), Selz, Vampire Lady (Steph), Lonewolf, Ramones (sorry about that time I seriously flamed you all those years ago - you probably don't remember but I always felt bad about it), Seven, Fogey, Joey (It's like I watched you grow up, dude), Nora (I never told you how much you made me laugh), DCA, Earthmom, Ozgirl, fiatlux & Aeryn.
And to the fallen or at least not heard from in a long while (if anyone still has contact with any of these then please pass on my well wishes) Sprook, Kirsten, Zach, Fluff, Otts, Fat Tony, Don, Nighthawk, Hippie, faith69 and many I can't remember the screen names of right now but remember the conversations vividly.
Because of the time difference of living in Australia I never really participated in the NB's too much so perhaps did not become as close to many of you as I would have hoped - but I read ALL those posts and felt I knew you all intimately - which is why this is so hard to bring to a close.
I no doubt will not be able to resist stopping in at sometime in the future but I could not take the risk of leaving forever without telling you all how important you are to me.
My email is if you ever need to reach me or if you go to the Aussie Empire film forums (www.empireonline.com.au) you can find me there under the screen name of \"Woody Mellor\".
So, I guess that's it - I always tried to be as friendly and respectful as I could @ HMC and I liked to think that I gave some you of you a good laugh every know and then - I know many of you did the same for me. Sorry if I ever cam across as over-bearing or arrogant in my opinions (especially when it came to films) but I do love a good rant.
I wish you all the very best in your lives and I hope that you'll remember me in some small way as I'll remember you all.
May The Force Be With You.
Love,
Mr. P (aka, Mr. Pointy aka. Pointy aka .........Neale)
