Ramones - Hello Lady. Its wonderful to hear from you. I wasn't sure if I came here anyone would still be here. It was a very pleasant surprise that the Hellmouth has endured. It seems a lot has been going on since I left, yet things are still the same :P

Well Wish...it's about time!!!! How are you doing?? Too bad we don't have our private forum anymore to get back into the NSACC mode:evil:

Miss you. Do you have my email address? It would be great to get the skinny.

The usual happening here....my life should be a sitcom on tv so I could make money off of it:S

Wish.....I look forward to catching up with my favorite roomie:) I think back to the convention days and just smile. Do you still have the beer bottle? (Let people think about that one...snort:laugh: )

I've been checking out reports and pics of JM online from the cons he has been doing. The man is looking good still...brown hair and all.

Hey Ozgirl, I'm doing good. How have you been? Anything new and exciting going on these days?

Myth- Actually, I think I do stil have \"the beer bottle\". I am such a geek. *HUGS* I miss my convention roomies. Those were good times...good times indeed. By the way, I might be in Santa Monica in July, I may have to do a drive by stalking of a certain someone....

Ramones - we always have fuel for the fire

Daddycat - yes, I moved to Vegas almost two years ago. Word to the wise, it may sound like a good idea.....not so much.

Wish - it's 95 degrees today and the humidity is making it feel like 105..... :S I can't even imgaine Vegas this time of year!!

If Vegas is not so good anymore, then head Northwest to Washington or Oregon. I understand it is beautiful. Don't know about the job situation.

Heading to the AC vent. I am going to sit on it ALL day long!! Hate this fricking weather!!

JM is going to guest star on SAVING GRACE either on the first episode or second starting 7/23/07

Myth - it is ungodly hot....sahara desert hot....surface of the sun hot! When I get out of work it is still 95 degrees, I stay in the apartment all day in the cool 80 degrees, it has already been up to 116 degrees and August (the hottest month) is still almost a month away. :pinch: I'm actually thinking of moving back to Pennsylvania next year.

95 in Michigan with the humidity can't be much better. Luckily you do have a pool club that you can cool off at. I envy you.

Post edited by: wish, at: 2007/07/12 12:15

hmmm I guess I will have to watch saving Grace then won't I?

116 Man that is nasty!
Here in KS we have made it to 100 and the humidity is a killer. Well if you move back and are driving across the Prairie let me know. I have a spare room to crash at.

I have a friend who moved to Vegas to teach and left after 2 years. It was so different culturally from Minnesota she and her hubby were unhappy. They are back in the tundra of Minnesota I am sure enjoying hot dishes community suppers and bar cookies. It is a weird but wonderful place Minnesota that is. We spent 2 years there during the post doc years for the ball and chain.

Stay cool! and wear sunscreen!

Hey ozgirl, there is nothing wrong with taking things easy and not having any plans, I enjoy life so much better that way. B)

The weather forecast for today was for rain. I was so looking forward to it....kinda like a kid looks forward to snow on Christmas morning. As soon as I got up this morning I looked out the window to see if it was raining. It was blue skies and sunshine. :( Maybe tomorrow......LOL.

I'm looking for rain too...hate watering the flower bds everyday. Too many flower beds.

Our Canadian friends came for breakfast and a short stay and then headed back North. It was great seeing them. During the summer, I have no room for guests because everyone is home. The Swim Club keeps me busy about14 hours a day. The boys helped with the work yesterday so I could have a little 'down' time with our friends. I was not happy about my house...it's always clean but with the Club, the house gets cluttered because I run out of time and things will sit around until I get a rain day. We haven't had rain in weeks!!!! And I sure as hell won't do much in the blistering heat. We're in a nice cool front right now. It's Heaven!!!

Ramones - you gave them wine....I sent them off with candy, soda and ice cream:P Hey....I can't be much of a hostess until after Labor day.

I am thinking of heading to Chicago in September to meet up with Ramones. Any other 'crazed' women here who want to have a wanton weekend???

Damn.....I am hoping it will be wanton:whistle:

Post edited by: Myth, at: 2007/07/12 17:23

Myth - I would love a wanton weekend in Chicago with you and Ramones...I have to look into the possibility.

How are the Canadiens? Any talks about a walk down the aisle?

Ramones - I appreciate your offer for the place to crash, if I make the trek back east. Thank you.

It is a culture shock living here. You would just have to experience it to understand.

My bad...it's December and not September for Chicago.

No talk about a walk on the aisle side as yet. Job hubting for our girl first.

We still have cooler weather, so I am cleaning and stuff. I'm actually excited about gettinvg to my ironing.......sad isn't it:S

Glad to see you are on the mend.
I am finishing up books I have been trying to finish since the dawn of time. Enjoying the weather and getting things fixed at the cottage. It has been one thing after another. Water pump propane tank and air conditioner. Nightmare. I guess the cottage knows when I come things will get fixed. It is crazy!

Flu in California or food issues?

I just don't know about you sickly people! EMums was and still is sick as well.

Aeryn's phots are lovely.

Ramones - I forgot I have a doctor's appt next Monday at 2:30. It took 4 months to get this appointment so I can't cancel or ask for another one because THAT would take another 4 months:blink: Damn!!!!!!!! I will try for December. Shame really....I was looking forward to running away to Kalamazoo and be naughty with you.

Nora- Are you game for December in Chicago??

Goodness, my life just never slows down at all. Today Jamieson got a pitbull from a member. The pitbull followed the membe'rs son home and they called animal control. Here in Michigan, pitbulls don't get any second chances...they get put down almost immediately. This dog is the sweetest thing. I consented to foster him until the owner is found or we find him a new family. Our female dog is outraged. Argh. It has been a hell of a day. I thjink I may be the only person who prays for a 'dull' dayB)

Nora - did you have the upset stomach plague or the sore throat, achy body flu? I had the latter of the two a couple of weeks ago. A lot of people here in Vegas got it It is horrible. I'm sorry you got it.

Myth - another member to the animal family? Good luck with the pitbull, they are full of energy and need lots of activity. But at least he was a lucky fellow and found his way to you and your family.

Ramones - cabins are a lot of work! But, if you need a full time live in maintenance/handyman/maid person, I volunteer. Anything to get out of this desert heat. I even offer turn down service at night and I do windows & clean floors. :P

Wish. You are hired! The cottage is by the a small in Michigan not that far from Myth (3 hours). It is lovely. We really have 2 cottages One for my Mom and Dad and if you do not mind loads and loads of children and dogs. (we share it with my other 4 siblings there families and their dogs.) We total out at 5 families(not counting grandparents, 10 grandchildren, 8 dogs and 10 acres.

Myth Bummer. Monday is not so great for us either. I think we are headed back to Chicago on Monday anyhoo. Fun docs appointment huh? I have to get back to work and I am so not looking forward to it.

Pit bulls! Wow I meet one nice one in New Zealand but so far those things scare me. Give me a nice and wacky retriever.

Myth did you see Butcher has a new book coming out! Yeah! Still no word on Dresden files TV show.

I am re reading some of Butcher's books. What a fun ride they are.

Okay back to the vacation grind. I might actually shower today and we are headed to visit the Lake Michigan for the day. Blueberry picking tomorrow.

TORCHWOOD is a spin off of the DR WHO series and the lead character is Captain Jack who is bisexual. JM guest stars and here's what actor Barrowman (Capt. Jack) says of the episode....

“James Marsters, who was Spike on ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer.’ He’s on Torchwood [in season two]. I can’t tell you very much, but he guest stars. And there’s a scene between he and Jack when they first meet, all I’ll say is, this scene is so hot, so horny, so horny, so violent, that all the fans who watch it are going [er, appreciate it greatly].”

The bad thing is that this is going to happen on the second season and we, here in the US, are only going to be treated to season one starting in September on BBC America. We have a long wait for season two:(
