He was initially due in July, but at my 38 week appt., the ultrasound showed that he was already 10 lbs. and was high risk for shoulder dystocia. My blood pressure was really high too, so we had a C-section that night. The surgery went well, then Killian gave us a little scare by going to the NICU. He was \"lazy\" about eating (as is common with c-section babies) and that led to his temperature and blood sugar dropping. All was fine though and we both went home after 4 days. Then 2 weeks later, I ended up rehospitalized for another 4 days with endometritis. NOT FUN! We're both fine now though, and as of last week, Killian was 12.3 lbs. and 24 inches long.
Methinks we have a future hockey player on our hands! :P
