Hey all! I don't know who's online here anymore and who isn't, but I wanted to share this with all my fellow hellhounds since you guys have been there the whole time and I figure this is the easiest way.

I GOT MY VISA!!

Yup, come April I will be moving up to Canada and in with Otts. It's been a crazy road, but it's very exciting. So a huge \"thank you\" to everyone who has been so supportive during all this.

She's not a sinner 'til they have a baby out of wedlock!

Congratulations, Fiat! I know what a long, hard road it is on the way to VisaLand. No more lost luggage or getting stuck in airports! Soon you'll be able to walk into the next room to talk to your sweetie instead of relying on phones and email.;)

Wait a tick. Didn't people who left the country for Canada during the LAST war get called deserters. Or maybe that had to do with a draft. :P

Post edited by: Seven, at: 2007/01/29 22:51

Congratulations Fiat.....and through this, to Otts too!!! :woohoo:

Having a sister, a friend and best friend go through the same thing...come to think of it I'm getting lonely...they've done it with Canada, USA & France. No prizes for guessing which country is the hardest one to declare a coupling to

Well achieved.

YEAH!!!!

I can stop with the catholic voodoo for the visa then.

I am so happy for you.

Yes the Canadians are sexy but I think it is due to the fact they have the hockey gene.... I know partial to the hockey boys myself.

Thank you all! It's not as if I'm leaving cyberspace (or my US citizenship)... heck, Otts and I were toying with trying to make our way down to D*C this year. No promises, though. :P

It would be cool if you guys got to come down. Otts could enjoy a large Star Trek presence this year (Frakes and Spiner are already signed up). I reserved my hotel last weekend!

FIAT!!!! Congrats to you and Otts! Well, congrats to Otts anyway. I think he's getting the best end of this deal. ;)

When you see and/or talk to him next, tell him I said hello and that I'm so happy for you both!
