Has anyone else become sort of addicted to this one?

I think they show is growing on me. I wish though they would bring more of the story between Murphy and Harry into the series. I know lame but I love the soap edge .

Post edited by: Ramones, at: 2007/03/13 19:36

I watch or tape it. I love the books. I've decided that I like Bob the best. It took a few eps because he is not in human form in the books. I miss Mister and the dog:angry: m And I really don't like Paul Blackthorne....... ....so why am I watching? Just because I guess. I really, really can't take PB....it's like I loved Chhristopher Eccleston as Dr. Who but Robert Tennant is a bit of a pill to swallow for me. Sigh. THE DRESDEN FILES has improved though...not much, but some.

BLOOD TIES started last night on the Lifetime channel. This is based on the Tanya Huff novel....the Toronto vampire series with a 400 year old vamp. Me and vamps:P I taped it and will watch as I sort through paperwork for taxes. I will make a comment after I watch.

RICHES starts tonight on F/X with Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver. It looks wonderful. Although I keep seeing Eddie in his 'executive transvestite' get up, I know that he is a great dramatic actor plus....I think he is a cutie:ohmy:

totally agree the books are way better but since most on TV is crap I am trying to find something I like.

The riches look promising.. Love minnie and paired with Eddie this could be wonderful.

Tried...I mean I really tried to watch the lifetime vamps but.... I gotta say could not watch for more than 15-20 minutes at a time. I need more mayb e I will give it another go but eh...

I can't wait for you to comment Ramones:P

I was very surprised with RICHES. That was actually QUALITY tv. The acting was superb. It was a bit heavy handed last night but I saw MD on a talk show and she said it will lighten up after the first few eps.

There is that gypsy/grigter sub-culture here in the States. Remember that film KING OF THE GYPSIES??? I thought that was interesting.

You know.....Eddie is quite sexy when he is not in drag. In the beginning he said a few phrases that made me drift to DRESSED to KILL...'my child with the long face.'

Maybe edit your topic post and put in DRESDEN and other new series.

okay I will

I felt a bit depressed by the whole show last night. I mean I liked it but it was so heavy and very serious and kind of pathetic in places. Pathetic in not the funny way more in the sad emotional way..

WOW Izzard stole the show and loved the fact he has a cross dressing younger son. LMAO!

I will watch it but it should really be sold as a drama. More drama here than in any other series I have seen outside of the real life housewives of orange county;)

I am kind of pulled into the family..and not just because they are travelers although HOW COOL IS THAT?? love the Irish tinker con men.

sorry got distracted by food and the dog and work.

Minnie Driver promised that there would be more humore. I guess we had to get the drama last night to set them up in the new house. I adore the actress that plays their neighbor.

I know what a great actress. She does the best suburban house wife with a deep secret. As long as it is not a rip off of desperate housewives and somehow the kids are not in peril all the time I think I can handle it.

I am hoping for some really good scenes with Izzard and Driver. I have read the BBC version of the interview with her and humor is good but the chemistry with Izzard is real and palpable. He is one sexy short man. It must be his mind and killer sense of a deeper self. His layers are already there after the first episode. This is one book I would not mind flipping through. WOW one too many metaphors even for me.

DRESDEN was so much better last night. Still don't care for Paul Blackthorne but at least there was more wizardly talents shown....and Mister made a showing.

BLOOD TIES is okay. Kyle Schmid (Henry the vamp) is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay young...23, but he is a cutie. And he has nice fangs:P

THE RICHES continues to build nicely. I love the actor who plays the snakey real estate neighbor.

Nora - you ass. I didn't even know what NORBIT was until you told me!!!

It means I caught one episode while in the den downloading tax forms etc. The one where 2 lady(?) friends;) kept a drugged up guy on a string so they could fake his death time after time and collect life insurance. Seemed ok. They mixed magic in with action in a way that the cop could come up with nonmagic explanations and maintain her balance while Dresden kept us in touch with the Magiks behind the scene.

Not too bad a show but I am not sure I have enough time to add another one to my schedule  Dresden is borderline to my taste in shows which is not a comment on its quality just on my preferences. I will give it another try or two.

Post edited by: Fogey, at: 2007/03/27 18:42

well dresden is growing on me.

Is it picked up for a second season?

The Riches were really good last night. I have to admit I am beginning to develop a crush on Eddie. His eyes really penetrate. Really read well throught he lens. He is a good seriosu actor I would love to see him in some more films.

I did like the turn that Minnie is taking... Better a pill popper than a needle gal.

Enjoyed Claudia on Dresden! I also enjoy the back & forth between cop lady & Dresden. Ghost guy in Dresdens office is so so.

Still not sure of making the time commitment to add this show to my list. But it does seem fairly decent.

Anybody else give “Pain Killer Jane” a try? I thought it showed some promise but might be slightly overdone. Will give iit a few more episodes to settle into its premise.

Lady cop is quick healing but feels the full amount of pain when she is injured. Secret agency hunting neurals which translates as mutants with powers. Despite her healing power she is not one of the neurals (they have noticeable genetic markers) so they are a little confused about what is going on with her healing powers.
