The Best Episodes of 2002
Since Once More, With Feeling and Tabula Rasa both aired in November of 2001, they can’t be on the list. The list qualifications start from Gone and end at Bring on the Night. Yeah, it sucks.
#1. Conversations with Dead People
Otts said - “They go and throw a masterpiece at you - as well as an incredible load of information and hints. Joss must be having fun doing this to us…”
I said - “A total triumph. This *is* Buffy The Vampire Slayer.”
#2. Selfless
Otts said - “A lot of loose ends tied up in this episode regarding Anya, in a beautiful and dramatic way - I don’t think we’ve seen her so touching before.”
I said - “I laughed, I cried, it became a part of me. Unbelievable episode, and Emma Caulfield… what can you say. One of the most underrated actresses around.”
#3. Grave
Otts said - “Giles sums up the whole season in one moment of hysterical laughter.”
I said - “Wowee. What a finale. It had a little bit of everything.”
#4. Seeing Red
Otts said - “If you like Willow with a smile on her face- Better save this ep, you won’t see her doing it for a while.”
I said - “It was still so angsty and cool.”
#5. Dead Things
Otts said - “Sometimes, being normal is the worst thing you could ever want to be. Especially in Sunnydale.”
I said - “Quietly became a favorite of mine after viewing it a couple more times. One of the better episodes of the season.”
Honorable mentions: Villians, Normal Again, Entropy, Two to Go, Never Leave Me, Sleeper, Bring on the Night.
