I also am such a geek I I bought the physics of Buffy and plan on using it int he classroom. It is gonna be cool.

You are SO my hero!! At my high school, there were three Chem teachers - one was HOT, one was hard (did AP prep), and one was whacky awesome. I got to have class with the third one. :ugeek:

Ramones, I've lost track. Have you actually transitioned to that or, is it to start in your new academic year (what is it with you lot & having school years starting in September :roll: So much easier here - end of year is end of everything :shock: :shock: and then we start it all again after we get over the New Years hangovers :lol: . Well okay, everything except finances that's mostly half way through ie end of June....)

Also, I was always envious of the science teachers, most of them (like 85%) were cool people. To the point I attempted physics & chemistry in my senior years (alas my brain was too unwired for those.....it's on my lifelong list of things to master).

Glori: I start in August our school year begins in mid August and now all the kiddies are already out of the classroom. They finish before Memorial day weekend.

I quit my job at the University level end of July. I wish I could quit now since I am so burnt out but you know blah blah blah money crapola.

Ramones - awesome! He was pretty much the favorite... unless you wanted to take the AP exam. The AP teacher was very hard, but as I recall, his students usually scored high on that thing.

Had a girlfriend from school (reunion was last year - egads 20yrs :shock: :shock:) who is in Oz Navy & she was telling me about her stint over in Baghdad. Was scary & fascinating simultaneously. This is also the same friend who suffered a broken back doing a parachute jump (& it wasn't picked up for nearly 3 days....it's a miracle she can still walk).

Ah, sorry Tony. Forgot which country you were in :o My bad. My ex-step-brother (Aussie) & his American wife have been living in the US in part for that reason I think. (They met in Tel Aviv where they were both living at the time). Though I think they are also now trying to move back there (with 4 kids in tow - ouch on living expenses...)

To answer fiat and sweet: What I'm looking for is everybody posting the link in your live journals/blogs/myspace/facebook/any forums you go to/wherever it's available to do it. I'm just trying to build up our site hits. The more hits we get, the bigger we get, the better writers we get on the site, the more interested people get in our lil' 'verse. We want as many people as possible to have fun and get interested in the site and the universe. Basically, I'm having fun right now doing my little blog and I want everyone to have the same feeling. :)
