Hot? I wouldn't mind hot. My house is freezing. Our power went out from 9:30 last night until about 10:30 this morning. And it's all cold and rainy out, which didn't help. I'm cuddled up on my bed trying to keep somewhat warm.

Hi, VL. We had the opposite yesterday-power went out from storms, and it started to get verrry stuffy. :)

The weird thing about our power, though, was we're the only house on our street that we noticed the power went out on. All the surrounding houses had lights on. It was crazy. I'm just glad I spent most of that time at work or else I would have gone crazy without power.

VL-weird. :shock: I got freaked because I was worried I'd be really late for work. I also feel odd being at home with no power, seems like there is nothing to do!

My roommate experienced the 'nothing to do' factor last night. She had trouble getting to sleep 'cause she usually goes to bed with lots of fans on. Then she got woken up at 5:30am by DP&L cutting the limbs off the tree in our back yard so they could get to the wires. We now have large branches in our yard with no idea what to do with them/how to get rid of them.

LOL that's what kept waking me up-lack of ceiling fan. Hard to sleep without it! That sucks about the branches. I think if they cut them down, they should pick them up!

Yeah. They just left them in our yard, and they're huge. I'm glad I wasn't planning on mowing today or I would have been really pissed about it. The owner of the house said he'd give us a hand in getting rid of them sometime this weekend. I just don't know what we're gonna do with them.

And if we get charged for them cutting up our tree, I'm gonna find a way to bill them for the removal of the branches from my yard since I'm pretty sure they didn't get an okay from us before cutting up our tree.

Chop everything up and use for firewood? Or better yet, SELL for firewood? :?

That's a good idea. I just wonder how well that'll work since it's been raining so it's all wet, and despite the rain, it's getting warmer. I may suggest that to my roommate and/or our landlord.

VL-Yeah, the timing could be better for that, I suppose. :lol: I am not looking forward to the high electric bills of summer.......we actually had a $400 bill last summer. :shock: Just thinking about it still sends me into almost a cardiac arrest!
