It occured to me after posting the egocentric "I'm first, I'm first" thread that we did have a picture thread at the old HMC. :?

So here's a new one. And again, I'm first. :P

Hippie, that is so adorable. However I think one at the peak of arsenic hour & hell would be as appropriate in this forum :P   !

Sweet, you are looking Fine! :D

Joey, when did you grow up? Aw hell, when did that happen (then again LegoKing is a head taller than me.....bugger time flies). Or, is that you below next to the chopper???

When I work out how to shrink the file will put one up of myself & LegoKing *gulp*. :D

These were taken September last year (at a wedding so we are all dressed up  ). He is now taller than me....

I hope these have gone up okay (can't tell since I'm the initiator... and I don't know how to embed them in the post.) Be kind, it's my first time.

Okay, this is from Dragon*Con last year. My hair isn't red anymore, it's blonde (which is my natural color, only I've died it to make it more blonde). My hair is also longer. A LOT longer. I'm afraid for how much I've let it grow out.

Sorry if it's too big and screws up the page. The resize wasn't working when I tried it before uploading it. My laptop's acting wonky. I want my PC back.

Okay, Robin and Becca are the bookends, I'm in the Browncoats Tee and Tanya (those of you that have met her probably know her as Mel) is in the Tee of The Count. She's my friend that lives in Melbourne, Australia.

And here's Tarn and I at the Georgia Aquarium. Yes, that's the same shirt I was wearing in the previous pic, but not the EXACT same. We each have one. We're not creepy and share clothes, especially on the same weekend.

Aw thanks hippie! I feel like a fat cow though. I've gained SO much weight! I can't stop it. I don't even eat junk or sweets. I'm hoping the next couple months will slow down.

You're supposed to gain weight! If you're eating healthy foods, that's all that matters. And no, the weight gain doesn't slow but that last trimester, it's all baby anyway.

thanks a bunch guys :) You've made me feel better. I just feel huge! My boobs are huge, I can't even fit into my pre-preggo "fat" pants. Maternity pants are so comfy anyway!

I know that as long as I'm eating well not to worry. My Dr doesn't seem concerned so why should I? Except I had french toast this morning...that wasn't so healthy but it did have eggs and I used wheat bread!

Very cute Hippie.

I remember when LegoKing used to smile & look at the camera. Now it has to be a caught out moment or a UN treaty to get shots of him  . Gotta love teenagers!

He is now pushing WhoGeek (needed to give my other half a nickname LOL) height. Quite amusing cause my other half is 6' but he slouches.....except when LegoKing is around & he straightens up to prove he is still taller (just).

Thank you. I empathize-I can't remember the last time Shelby smiled in a photo. Unless you count her ironic "I hate these freaking people for taking my picture" grimace.

Oh yeah-I thought about you the other day. Some couple in Sweden went to court for the right to name their newborn son "Lego" as apparently they were breaking a law about giving children names that were inappropriate or embarassing. They won. 8-)

LMAO Methinks LegoKing would much prefer that to his current name (it's initials come to ADS & they invariably shove an i in between the A & D ). Not to mention apparently I didn't go out of my way enough to give him a unique name - there are currently about six-eight in his grade .....all different spelling though.

Yeah Glori, that's the ole 'self-potrait' shot - hence it being a bit blurry (it was after a few big plastic cups of beer)

Top of the rock (AKA Rockerfeller Plaza AKA 30 Rock) is pretty much a 'must do' in NYC - cheaper and less crowded than the Empire State - with better views of Central Park...and the Empire State.

Yeeeeah sorry bout that Doc  - thats because what was supposed to be 2 Weeks in the Big Ap turned into just a few days and when I got to Chicago I realised I had deleted all my emails from my Hotmail account and had lost your address - and was unable to even log into the old HMC board at the time.

Besides the only day we would have been able to catch up was the last night I was there and we ended up getting Spamalot tickets at the last minute so...any way thats all the excuses. But We are planning a return trip hopfully for next year so I' promise I'll be better prepared next time.

Well in fairness Aiken was not in the at that time - but then again it wasn't the original cast either - so you've got a point.

Thanks hippie and nora :-D I'm so in love it hurts. Well not really but he's absolutely perfect.

Named him Aiden Jakob. He was 7lbs 6oz at birth and 19 inches long. Has a FULL head of black hair. All that heartburn I had wasn't for nothing apparently ;)

Labor was long. I went into a form or early labor on Thursday morning (8/14). I had contractions 10 min apart all day, went to the hospital, found out that it wasn't doing anything so they gave me something that was supposed to relax my uterus, take my pain away and stop the contractions. Well that didn't do anything but make me loopy and pass out. I woke up the next morning with contractions still and had to go to the Dr to get my blood pressure checked. She told me that I was in early labor but it had this name I can't spell and basically told me I would be uncomfortable but they weren't really doing anything down there.

Spent the next 2 days with contractions STILL 10 min apart. I didn't have more than a 30 min period without a contraction. Finally woke up Sunday morning and decided to clean the whole house top to bottom. I was still having contractions 10 min apart. After 30 min of cleaning they moved to 5 min apart but I refused to go back until I knew for sure that they would keep me. After 4 hours of 5 min apart contractions I called and they told me to go to the hospital to get monitored. I got there and STILL wasn't dilated enough so they told me I needed to at least dilate to a 2 before they would keep me. I was having regular contractions and after an hour I was still only a 1. I thought I was going to have to go home AGAIN and I was in so much pain I broke down. They sent me to walk for 30 min and I got back and was dilated to almost a 3 so they kept me! I was so relieved.

I got to a 4 and they gave me pitocin so I could get an epidural because I needed to rest. I got a REALLY good epidural. I couldn't walk for 24 hours after. I dilated from a 4 to an 8 in 4 hours after my Dr broke my water and t0 a 10 2 hours later.

To make a long story a little shorter, I pushed for almost 3 hours and he was born sunny-side up Monday (8/18) morning. He's such a good baby. Really good eater.

I'll post more pictures later. I think this takes up enough space :)

Wow! What a rollercoaster ride! That'll be great for when he's older: "I was in labor for five days to give birth to you, young man! The least you can do is clean your room when I ask!" :P

He is truly beautiful. Enjoy your time and get lots of rest. :)
