Mini rant: people are ridiculously stupid. This woman wanted me to give her places her cousin could go to school so she could get a job. I explained that career counseling is outside the scope of what I do, but I could give her some places to go see a career counselor who could evaluate her and come up with a plan that takes into account her abilities, experience, and interests. Then she might be able to find work. These were my exact words, mind you. Dumbass says "what are these numbers for?", then "so you can't give me schools for her to go to?". When I explain again, trying to use even more simple words, she says "okay", and hangs up! No thank you, nothing! I fucking hate people, dude. :evil: :evil: :evil:

you should have told her that you can give her schools for her to go to so she could learn some manners maybe like preschool. She will do good with other 5 year olds in her class

LMFAO! :lol: No kidding! She also didn't believe me that there were no housing options for people with no income. The housing authority here has like, a 3 year waiting list, and hello! We're in Texas! How good can social services possibly be? :roll:

I have a sinking feeling that here there will be closing public housing and change them to condos for the rich to come in. Real estate here still very expensive.

Everything's expensive there! There are several areas here (Midtown, downtown especially) that used to house a lot of fixed-income families...they suddenly disappeared, their houses torn down, and big $300,000 condos went up in their place. I always wonder where they went. And egads, $300,000 is LA pricing! Really pricey for Houston.

Nice. I don't have that in between; I'm either clear in the head/tired or I'm fuzzy. Guess that's what happens when there is an alcohol allergy in the family.

Awww. That sucks. I've always blamed my Irish and German heritage for my ability to drink, then when my gallbladder went bad, I lost that ability. ANY alcohol made me sick. But once I got my gallbladder out, the ability returned. 8-)

I dunno Fiat, we drank a lot of wine that time and didnt notice anything till we stood up....I thought we polished off more than 1 bottle.... :lol:
