Nora - I am glad you like the SUPERNATURAL guys...your taste is improving....finally:laugh:

Doc - I still love ya!!!! ROME was awesome and the first episode this season was great. They are not going to renew ROME because it is too expensive to produce (the sets are freaking stunning), so we have to enjoy the 10 episodes we are getting now. The writers knew beforehand that the show was not going to be renewed so they have jam packed the episodes:woohoo: I just got into EXTRAS and nearly died laughing with Orlando Bloom. I'm doing catch up with Season One on DEMAND. Check out WEEDS.

I am kind of looking forward to the premiere of THE DRESDAN FILES starting 1/21 on F/X. Love the books but I am not tickled with the choice of actors. We shall see.......

Still tickled with UGLY BETTY and KNIGHTS OF PROSPERITY is a hoot thus far.

I've watched two episodes of DIRT and the jury is still out on that one

Watched a little bit of AMERICAN IDOL. Eep...so pathetic and yet more viewers. I'll wait until they get to the top 20. Right now it's the really embarrassing contestants and the cruel remarks of the judges.

Post edited by: Myth, at: 2007/01/18 02:32

Nora - Spike is SOOOOOOO much better than Angel. At least we agree on the cuties from SUPERNATURAL.

I guess I WASN'T seeing double. Ashley Jensen who play Maggie on EXTRAS (awesome) also plays Christina on UGLY BETTY. Have to say that Ashley 'brings it' to her roles. I like this actress!

I liked Smallville tonight kind of fun to see the start of the Justice League. Disappointed that Lois didn't get to model the nice little green outfit but Chloe had a great part.

Next week looks like Normal Again from the preview.

From tv guide site
She noted that Smallville scored its best ratings of the season with last night's \"Justice\" episode.

• Just asked Dawn how confident she is that Lauren and Alexis will agree to another season of Gilmore Girls. \"We are talking to them,\" is all she would say.

• Got in a follow-up about the likelihood of a fourth season of Veronica Mars. She loves the show and points out that it's having its highest-rated season yet. But no decision has been made.

• Veronica Mars will go on hiatus for eight weeks beginning Mar. 6 to make way for the Pussycat Dolls reality show. Mars will return with five stand-alone eps in April.

• On Gilmore's creative direction this season, she concedes that \"the first half of the season was a little rocky. [Dave Rosenthal] was painted into a story-line corner [from last season]. I think the second half of the season will be a lot stronger.\"

• Supernatural is holding up \"really well\" in a tough time slot, and creatively the show is \"at its best.\"

• When the time comes for Gilmore to end, she'd like to give producers time to wrap things up. But it's \"premature\" to talk about that now.

Okay peeps...are we ready???????? For new premieres????? To welcome back some of our favorite shows from hiatus?????

HELL YES!!!!

Tonight BSG is back and DRESDEN FILES starts. It will actually be a wee daunting for me what with DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, ROME and the DRESDEN FILES all on at 9 pm:blink: I will solve this problem, oh yes I will!!!!!

Watched DRESDEN. Not impressed but I will give it a couple more viewings because it takes at least 3 to 4 episodes for everything to start gelling. I do know that I don't like the changes they made from the books. Stupid writers and producers.

Ava remarks from a person who uses a Chaos Theory symbol for her ava? Naw not me, just a local politician who go involved in artistic pursuits in addition to running his bar.

Caught a snippet of Dresden Files & it didn't grab me. Had to tape BSG so will watch it today. A new Hero's is next on the list, hope I can forgive them for destroying Eden.

Well guess I will head off to give Myth's nemisis, Nora another karma point.:silly:

I watched PRISON BREAK last night after its looooong hiatus. After such a long break I didn't feel all that 'up' for it but damnnnnnnn!!! This series really has it going on!! The writing team is superb. Every time the viewers get lulled into feeling everything may be okay...that all goes poof. I swear my mouth was hanging open last night at the end of the hour. It is so much like 24 with the shock factor or cliffhanger at the hour's end. The only thing...I can't see how this series can survive after this season unless the 'boys' stay on the run still and that might get old fast.

Fogey _ Nora is not my nemesis. She is my nemesisies:whistle:

BTW...you can now call me MS Chaos:laugh:

Post edited by: Myth, at: 2007/01/24 01:37

Movie but TV movie so guess it goes here not in movie thread?

Gryphon - I wish Amber would get a quality role in a good movie. Stilted dialogue, mediocre CGI, and technical mistakes in things like the swords. :(

But darn despite all that & even with smudged face and frequent wearing of chain mail I thought Amber looked GOOD. :woohoo: Only one love scene and they cut that short. Not a movie I expect to get rave reviews even from people with a crush on Amber, but I enjoyed it as light fare.

Nora - I am \"Queen Beeyatch'B) You are Minion Nora.

Fogey - I had the movie on in the background while cleaning out a closet. It definitely was not good....but still better than that other one with Edward Furlong!!!! AB looked good starting halfway through the movie and her acting improved. The lead actor...LaPaglia(?...Anthony's brother?) was actually decent and relaxed. The Wizard guy was atrocious. Oh well, Hollywood is a tough town and work is work I guess. Maybe this will lead to something else for AB.

I watched some of the GREASE contestants and actually enjoyed it. I thought it was the final, but it is the final 6 guys and 6 girls. Love GREASE, so I found it entertaining.

Anyone else giving DRESDAN a viewing??? Second episode was better. Maybe it's because I have accepted the differences from the books. I do find it rather 'tame' because there is a constant adrenaline rush in the books.

Besides some of the programs we talk about here, I have to say that at the top of my list for 'must see' tv, is EXTRAS. I cannot believe how much I look forward to each new episode. It's on HBO but the first season is out on dvd. Last week Daniel Ratcliffe (Harry Potter) was a guest and it was too too funny. Diana Riggs was a guest too. This show has me sitting there watching, totally aghast and when it's over, the laughter starts. God bless Ricky Gervais.
I am putting the dvd sets on my Christmas 'wish list'.

Post edited by: Myth, at: 2007/02/05 22:26

Yeah I'm watching Gilmore Girls again this year, but not over enthused about the show this season. Rory or rather Alexis · Bledsoe seems a little off to me. I get the feeling she is just standing there posing as she reads her lines in a lot of the scenes. In prior seasons she seemed more real to me.

I have had a problem with the show since Lorelai married the wrong guy at the end of last season. The writers backed the show into a corner and have had a rough time trying to bring it back.

I have problems following the darn show...and the mother daughter relationship thing really freaks me out. And how on earth could two people make that many ironic statements in one go?

The whole show is wierd to me... yet i still watch it now and again lol.

Summer Time Blues huh. Well I intend to catch Eureka - I find it humorous and quirky.

At least GG reached a natural ending point and left on a high note.

I want another season of Jericho - I actually got interested in see how they end up.

VM will shoot a few more episodes with Veronica as an FBI agent in training. Kristin really never looked like a teen to me anyway so maybe post school will work better. But with GG and that other show about a preacher & his family both gone, perhaps the network will invest more effort in promoting VM.
