White wine, sure. Red wine gives me a headache. But I really prefer the Comfort. 8-)

What did that horrible kid do this time? :x

That rotten kid voluntarily took Killian last night and fed him his dinner, then put him down to nap. So I could nap. I asked if she was feeling okay, and she said, "well, you look so tired and I know you only slept 3 hours last night, so I thought I'd help".
Did I mention "voluntary"? And at no point did she try to renege. Amazing. I actually got a 3 hour nap, with no interruptions! :D

OMG! Hippie a cooperative daughter? Is there such a rare beast?
You should write a book if she does this more than twice and the results are reproducible :o .
What do you do when the one thing you need to save your life is the one thing that would make life unbearable?

Tired, work was rough with boss being out and surveyors come in tomorrow for 2 days, they aren't medicaid so that is good. Stupid transportation company told me they arent' driving my folks anymore, which I about had a coronary.
Just seriously tired.
Oh and my boss is in NY, so I am in charge with the surveyors.
RAMONES WROTE:OMG! Hippie a cooperative daughter? Is there such a rare beast?

Ahahaha! Well, the conditions remain the same (I'm always sleep-deprived) but there may be too many confounding variables, like the day of the week, Shelby's everchanging diurnal cycle, she might've had a fight with a friend, etc. May have to be a qualitative study. :P
Nora-it was historical for sure. I'll never forget it. 8-)

Is it normal for a refrigerator to stop working properly after 6 years? Damn fridge part is barely cold but the freezer is fine. I'm so pissed off about this....I hate added stupid expenses.

Oh, better now, I am taking a break. I was being verbally accosted by one of those people who make bizarre decisions and start every interaction in a defensive state, and it's everyone else's fault. "I went there for help, they yelled at me and called me a bum", "I can't get help there because I'm not 60", "I'm not going to take food out of my disabled son's mouth by using his food stamps for me, so I eat out of dumpsters".....so on and so forth. It's very taxing to get that early in the day. ;)
How are you? Happy Thursday to you as well! :)

I'm doing good here just taking it easy since my boss will probably not be in today. ;)
You should have told that person to become a freegan. :P
Bahahaha! He is a freegan, sort of. Lucky you, no boss today. Mine has been gone for three days (we hosted a conference) and now is back. Le sigh. You have plans for the three-day weekend?

So lucky no boss for the beginning of the week, but at least you might get out early on Friday and three day weekend ;)
No plans as of yet. I might go see IJ4 over the weekend or maybe Iron Man. I don't know yet.
AWESOME!!!! You and Selz could totally meet up! 8-)
I'd go see both movies. If I had a babysitter. You know what movie I DID get a babysitter for though?

Yeah, I did. However did you guess? ;) I told Danny and Shelby, "I'm going to the early show with Laura and we're having Cosmos, talk amongst yourselves to arrange babysitting, thank you!"
As a New Yorker, are you sick of the SATC hype yet?

LLonewolf85 posts in this thread

I haven't even heard the hype about it here as of yet. I know that there have been some news articles about it though.
Of course, I think the hype might be big in some other neighborhoods in lower Manhattan though ;)
LOL I like that leave Danny and Shelby to discuss it among themselves.
Shelby not going?
How many times will you see it?

Dude, my best friend had a baby 2 months after me, we NEVER get to do anything just the two of us. Especially since her baby gets sick a lot. Shelby does not watch SATC, she was too young when it was on, plus she's not too inerested. She's still into the anime/manga.
We'll probably get to see it once, but you know as soon as it's on DVD, I'm getting it. :P
I wish I understood better the differences between Lower Manhattan, Upper Manhattan, etc. I kinda get the burough thing. Kinda.

You both definitely need to go out and have some fun especially after giving birth. The two of you really deserve it.
I'm going to assume that DVD will be seen many times. :P ;)
There is really not that much difference. Each neighborhood has their distinct personality. In Lower manhattan you have the Village and Universities very liberal spots but also City Hall, Chinatown and Wall Street is in Lower manhattan as well so it's a nice blend.
Then midtown you have all the businesses and such and then the Upper Manhattan you have mix of people with Harlem and Spanish Harlem and then there is the Upper West Side that is where you have cultural and liberal activist are in and the Upper East Side where is mostly the rich people live.
That's pretty much Manhattan in a nutshell mostly. A nice mix and blend of people ;)

Hell yeah!
Thank you for explaining the differences.....I hate to say this, but every time I watch something set in NYC, it all looks the same to me. I need to visit NYC! It still boggles my mind that so many people live in such a small space; I think we have a couple million fewer people here in Houston, but Houston is spread all over the place. If you don't have a car, you're not getting too far here. It must be awesome to live somewhere where you can get around without a vehicle. you should've seen people's reactions to finding out Danny didn't know how to drive when he got here.

Yeah, you definitely should, there are differences in each neighborhood and each one have their own style and such.
It boggles my mind how many people live here. Trains are crowded and it is definitely not worth having a car here with traffic, lack of parking space, garage prices are high, insurance is high and such. It's not worth having a car here. If you live in the other four boroughs a car will definitely be needed.
I can imagine the surpirse that they will have. It is usually the norm to have a car.
I read in Japan that they hire people to push people inside the train. They do that here and that's a fight waiting to happen
