Film discussions

I just got back from Florida where I spent 10 glorious days with my mommy....SHE who loves soap operas, CSI (all of them) and every program I won't watch PLUS she loves going to the movies every other day. I survived because of the beach, shopping and the OTHER tv set:)

So, needless tosay I saw MOVIES when I was away.

GRINDHOUSE - I appreciated the effort. I preferred Planet of Terror to the other offering by QT because I didn't pacticularly care for all the 'tough girl' talk. My mother hated it and was ready to disown me:P

PERFECT STRANGER - with Halle Berry and Bruce Willis. I was forced to see this. I screamed and yelled the entire way to the theater. The only thing that kept me quiet during the film was stuffing my mouth with popcorn:blink: A major 'meh' for me. Geez....Halle really needs a good movie or a good director.

THE REAPING - Not very good but better than I thought it would be. Nuff said about this one.

DISTURBIA - I adore Shia LeBeouf and I think he is a damn fine young actor. Movie was predictable but I enjoyed it.

HOT FUZZ - Simon Pegg and Nick Frost...the Dream Team. Not as good as SHAUN OF THE DEAD but still enjoyable. If Simon is in a film...I am SOOOOO there:P

Post edited by: Myth, at: 2007/04/22 22:03

Last weekend, I saw Disturbia. It was basically Rear Window for teens. It's an ok movie.

Also, I saw Hot Fuzz. It was hysterical. Fun movie to watch.

Not sure if this is the right thread to post this in but it is movie talk of a sort.

Fogey, this should be the right aalce for that, the only drawback being this is a film discussion thread and the chances of any of us seeing that to discuss it are about what they would be for seeing Amber in _Race You to the Bottom_ or _Special Things_, or Nathan in _Waitress_. Or SMG in _Southland Tales_ for that matter <snerk>.
