I'm thinking that there are gonna be a lot of people happy about this:

Also, Whedon told the panel that we'll be seeing more of the Dolls dealing with issues disfigurement. Claire Saunders is going to be dealing with the realization that she's not who she thought she was all along. Meanwhile, Victor is going to be getting better from his own disfigurement "rather quickly." He also says we'll definitely be seeing a few episodes featuring Angel's Alexis Denisof, which is welcome news. Plus possibly a bit of Summer Glau. Meanwhile, comics god John Cassaday is going to direct one episode of the show.

If you click on the link, beware that there's a lot of spoiler-y stuff about Epitaph One.

Candace, you had spoilery info in there. Bad for no warnings!

I'm impatient for the new season! If season 2 is anything like the end of season 1, then it's going to be AWESOME!

Actually, from what I hear it's supposed to be more like Epitaph One, which has a different feel than Season 1.

Finally saw Epitaph One and loved it! I really hope that Season 2 does have more that sort of feel to it. A lot of the camera work and some other stuff reminded me of Firefly.

Ray Wise, from Twin Peaks and Reaper, is also going to be on the show as a higher-up in the Dollhouse organization.

I just saw Epitaph One and the original pilot. Both these episodes are much more like the Jossverse we have come to know and love. Despite what Joss says in the Bonus Features in the Season 1 DVD Set, I can't believe he was happier with the second pilot. Except for his point about Paul Ballard meeting Echo in the first pilot, I believe it is far superior to the 2nd pilot and sets up the series much better. When I see these two episodes, (although I am glad Joss got a second season) I am not very confident that Fox won't meddle so much that Dollhouse will end up being a pale version of what it could have been. We can always hope...

Hi Ribbie :P Good to hear you like the original pilot. I'll watch DH just to bitch. I was terribly disappointed in it. My attitude regarding JW changed and I really don't expect too much from him anymore other then his arrogance and I cringe with his take on feminism. Here's hoping I can give my honest feelings here on JW since it is still technically a JW board. I did like FIREFLY....it was good storytelling.

here's hoping Wesley can being it back somehow. I'm assuming his character is going to come in useful for something. I dunno, just didnt feel it.

When FBI guy was on the outside hunting the house it created pressure on them to engage in defensive actions outside of their normal toy house doll rental business. I suspect Wes the Crusading Politician is there for the same plot purpose. He should bring some twists to the hunt and to their reactions. The rental games are, to me, a minor part of the show. I think the changes in the dolls as their conditioning developes flaws and the reactions to pressure exerted on the house by outsiders are more entertaining than the rent-a-doll escapades.

I didn't know about this before, but I guess that Fox is doing some virtual marketing for Dollhouse. They have created a website, Twitter and Facebook page for Senator Daniel Perrin, the character played by Alexis Denisof. Here are the links:

Website:http://www.senatordanielperrin.org/
Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/people/Daniel-Perrin/100000293788095
Twitter:http://twitter.com/SENDanielPerrin

Hopefully FOX will continue to do this kind of advertising and actually promote the show.

From what I understand, Dollhouse is ridiculously cheap to produce. The rumor is between $650,000-$1.3M per episode. Even with the pathetic ratings, the show still turns a (small) profit. That's why it's still around.

For now.

I have to say that I am seriously disappointed with this series. Some things have gotten better but it doesn't help me. I think Joss came up with a good idea but lost his way trying to execute the way to bring it across on the screen and with the writing. I find that I can be offended with some of the ways he does things on this show and I am not impressed with the acting. The only saving grace was Boyd and he is barely on it anymore. Topher has become more interesting.

Does anyone else here think that JW LOVED BSG??? Almost every week there is another actor from that series.

Summer Glau? Should be interesting. I do miss Amy Acker but it looks like she landed a series with more acting exposure.

DON WROTE:Yup, I'd say it's done.

With its low cost of production I think they could return after sweeps. The set up of events in the episode last night might be used to finish the season and the series with a with a reveal/collapse of the doll house. That would give them 2 full seasons to market to the dvd crowd.

I DVR'd last night's ep and just watched it. I must say that it was gooooooooooooooooooood. Yep, Mythie is saying something positive about DH  .... The ep was riveting and the acting was all around good. I think is JW had this ep about halfway through the first Season, he would have been on a roll. HMMMM....the Dollhouse is kinda good and yet bad but the people actually running it 'in' house do have feelings and a sense of right and wrong. It's those sons-a-bitches, the corporate heads, that are evil money grubbing Bigger Bads.

I really liked Topher last night. Boyd still seems to me to be the 'heart' in DH. Poor FBI agent guy...it seems the writers have run his character into the ground.

I am sorry to say that the ep was stronger last night and I think it was because it focused on the inner problems of the Dollhouse and not one of the excursions with ED bouncing around in another skimpy outfit. I really like ED but I don't think she does well carrying an entire ep.

Summer Glau looks like her usual serious blank-face other characters in next weeks promo.

*is shocked* Myth had something good to say about DH? IT'S A MIRACLE!!

I too thought this weeks ep was awesome. Topher just broke my heart. As did Priya (Sierra). Boyd being all business was kind of awesome. I hope the series keeps on with eps like this one when it comes back in December.

Dollhouse is getting cancelled. But according to Fox, the rest of the 13 episodes will be played in December. We'll see.
