I liked T1. I saw G.I. JOE. Once again, I am totally ignorant about the comic, cartoons whatever so I just sat back and was entertained by the special effects. :D I was so tired that I thought I would fall asleep while watching. Nope....it was so loud that my eyelids went up to my hairline........ 8-)

I command youto step forward and mention the movies you have seen!!!!

Saw DISTRICT 9. I read a review that gave a wee info bit so I knew what was going to happen within the first 10 minutes of the movie  It was okay. I just couldn't take the lead character until he settled down a bit and that was in the last 5 minutes :( Worth a rental or wait for cable.

Plan on seeing INGLORIOUS BASTERDS tomorrow :D Yep, I do love me my QT movies :D

I too saw GI Joe. I had no idea what the back story of GI Joe is, but it was fairly easy to pick up on. It wasn't a great movie, but it was entertaining, and that's all I was really looking for. Plus it was the only movie showing late night that everyone in my family might have enjoyed.

INGLORIOUS BASTERDS - WOW and ....WOW. I don't think you have to be a fan of QT's to like this film. It's QT's WWII fantasy w/ the feel of THE GOOD, THE BAD THE UGLY and the DIRTY DOZEN. The acting and casting is superb. Brad Pitt is perfect and I have to say if actor Christoph Waltz doesn't get an Oscar nod I'll be floored!! The fFench actress who played the French jew Shoshanna was mesmerizing.

OT used European actors so there is subtitles but you never notice. I understand that if you speak French or German that QT managed to be sly with his wording as he is with his American movies.

There is quiet build up and then SLAM! Blood galore and violence galore. I found that his best and fullest characterizations were the German officers which made them true monsters in the film.

2 1/2 hours and I could have sat through 5 hours at this pace!!! I am 'popcorn girl' but I didn't get any because we were going to dinner after the movie and guess what? I didn't miss one delicious kernel at all!!

Oh...and Michael Fassbender was in it. He is an awesome actor and makes me drool

Rented STATE OF PLAY with Russell Crowe, Ben Affleck and Rachel McAdams. I usually multi-task when watching a movie. I just sat and was entertained. Good movie rental!! Keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat.

it breaks my heart to say Wolverine was SUCH a piece of shit. As much as I love Hugh Jackman, this movie should not have been made.

SURROGATES - Better than I thought it would be....but I already forgot how it ended  Talk about leaving a mark. Wait for DVD or cable.

Pandorum - Again, better than I thought it would be but wait for DVD or cable. Keeps your interest.

ZOMBIELAND - I was sooooo looking forward to this one and the reviews were good but I ended up being disappointed  It does have its moments and the first 15 minutes were wonderful and showed such promise!! I don't know, maybe I was too psyched to enjoy/like this movie which caused a let down. I am sure that if I waited and rented it I probably would have enjoyed it more. It just didn't pass the 'big screen' enjoyment factor.

I've rented a few movies....and I can't remember any of them  Geez Hollywood, get your shitake together and make some better movies!!!!

YEAR ONE - So stupid and yet I had some belly laughs.

LAND OF THE LOST - Really stupid. I only rented this because I like Danny McBride. I've come to dislike Will Farrell. Wait for cable or totally ignore.

MANAGEMENT w/ Jennifer Anniston and Steve. I am a SZ fan. I must say, this was a plasant surprise. Not a great movie but a sweet one.

THE PROPOSAL. I tend to avoid chick flicks until they are on DVD or on cable. I actually liked this one and it doesn't hurt that I like Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds.

A LAW ABIDING CITIZEN. It kept my interest but mostly because I was offended. The story was rather stupid and I really hate it when the writers find stupid ways to spoon feed the audience with themes.

Am I the ONLY one here who sees movies? Dang, I would love to hear someone else's reviews!!

VAMPIRE'S ASSISTANT. Major disappointment. Wait for cable and skip the DVD release.

THIS IS IT - MJ's tribute. Yep, it was good. I will always love some of his music.

THE UGLY TRUTH - I guess it would be a decent rental. Crude and raunchy and extremely contrived. If you are a Gerard Butler fan then you may be happy.

UP- absolutely adorable. Why oh why are animated flicks better done and more enjoyable than 90% of the movies being made?? Loved this little film. I want a dog like Dug and a weird-ass bird like Kevin :P

ACCIDENTAL HUSBAND - Whoa Mama....this went straight to DVD, despite the cast  Well, I can understand that. I think I would have been pissed to pay the big bucks to see it at the theater. As a DVD rental or cable I think it is a nice little film. Definitely a chick flick. I rented it because of JDM. Yum.

MY ONE AND ONLY - Another straight to DVD. I was plesantly surprised. A dramedy but kind of engrossing. I knew nthing about this film so I was surprised that it was based on George Hamilton's life

THE AMATEURS- This is a 2005 movie starring Jeff Bridges and a supreme supporting cast. Never even heard of this movie but decided to watch it when it was listed on the cable movie guide. What a delightful movie. A feel good down to your toes kind of film. Bloody well loved it!! It's about a small town that decides to do a porno. I guess it was originally titled THE MOGULS.

FIRED UP - Some witty fast talking here but still pretty typical teenage hormone resulting in something of a crapfest.

BRIDE WARS - I figured this was total crap but I was a little surprised. More watchable then I thought it would be...but still, not very good.

I am going to see 2012 and I dearly want to see BLINDSIDE. I know the latter is a 'tissuefest' but I love the story behind it.

Well Steph....how many times do you plan on seeing NEW MOON???????

I saw The Hangover like six months ago. Like most similar comedies, it's funny for the first 3/4, then kind of loses steam when it has to resolve the storyline.

That was the last time I went to the movies. Or even watched a movie.

I'm not a movie person. Mostly because 99.9% of new stuff sucks.

Definitely gonna beat the 16 I had for Twilight!!! NEW MOON is sooo much better than Twilight! And it actually made me like Jacob. That was a big shocker for me. But it's awesome and I already have tickets for showing number 2! :D

I don't have that much money. Only a quarter of it was me.
Seriously, though, I've only seen it 3 times so far. Number 4 is going to be Thanksgiving when my mom and I drag my brother and dad to go see it. After that will be a mystery!

Oh Steph...wish you hadn't said that :( Now I will have to say that I pretty much hated it. I understand fanship. Lived it and loved it with Spike and Spuffy. I bet it is exciting to see characters come alive on screen but geez, that was some of the worst acting I have seen in a long time. It was like...pose the actors, have the actors do 0ne minute soulful looks, have Bella get all jittery when she sees the ghostly image of Edward or hears his voice and then insert some gawd awful dialogue. I honestly think that some of these young actors COULD act if given a different director. I did like the actress who plays Alice and of course Michael Sheen and Dakota Fanning were good for all of the 5 minutes that they had on screen.

My mother wanted to see NM, so I took her. She pretty much loves all movies...it's her thing. She was moaning halfway through the film. I made sure we saw it Monday afternoon because I figured that if we saw with all the screaming fans, I would have been bombarded by popcorn. Death by popcorn...I might like that

At least you only have to wait 200 some days until ECLIPSE. I must say that I thought TWILIGHT was so much better and I wasn't crazy about that film. I was horribly disappointed with the werewolf pack....bad acting awards all around. Bottom line, I blame the director and probably the producer too.

I forgot to add that I am not a 'Romeo and Juliet' type of gal. I liked R&J well enough and I even liked WEST SIDE STORY but that is it. Give me Austen's PRIDE AND PREJUDICE themes/plots and I am a happy camper. Star-crossed lovers crap bores me to death.

I bet there was a resounding 'awwwww' from the audience at the end. I cringed .

See, I thought the acting was a little better (but not much) for NM, but I agree, most of them can't act. Especially Kristen Stewart. I cringed at her all the time. But I don't see how Twilight was better. The director for Twilight was HORRIBLE and the special effects were so much worse! I think the director for NM did what he could with what he was given, which wasn't a lot, but at least the special effects were a lot better. The vamps running fast actually looked like they were running fast and not like the ground was moving while they were jogging along. Yes, most of it is probably my seeing them come alive on the screen, but I can't see how Twilight was better in any way shape or form than NM. As much as I saw it in the theater and such, I know it wasn't a very good movie.

Steph- I never read any of the books (and never will 8-), so TWILIGHT introduced the characters to me. I thought the acting was bad, but still, I got to know the characters and to be honest, I didn't expect much. I did expect better for the second movie and it was painfully bad for me. Expectations kill a lot of things for me. I'll wait for the cable release for any more of these films. I do blame a lot of it on the director though because he/she could have had a better vision and forced the actors not to be so 'stilted

Nora - Curiosity will kill me one day

Myth you can piss through those books in a day if you're really bored. Stephanie Whatsherface is a sloppy lazy writer. She writes decent dialogue but always takes the easy route for endings. Bella gets hurt and passes out and then they explain what happened to her when she wakes up, the end. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......

*waits for the Twihards to attack*

I never said that the writing itself was good. It's just the way she writes is so easy to picture in my head that I get sucked in.

To each their own. I don't understand how people make through any of the Sookie Stackhouse series and yet that's still ongoing. Ugh.

Nora - There was no way in Hell that I would or will read the TWILIGHT books...unless someone paid me big bucks 8-)

Steph - I read 4 or 5 of the Sookie books and refused to read more. I couldn't take Sookie anymore and if you can't take the main character you have to bail. I did adore Eric though but I won't read any more of the books just because of him. CH did some interviews and it looked like she was going to finally have Sookie and Eric together but w/ the success of TB, she is now very wishy-washy with her thoughts. I do think book Sookie is better than TB Sookie at this point. I mean TB Sookie has been more of a dipshit. My draw for TB is Eric and Alexander Skaarsgard. Yum. I also adore Lafayette, Pam and Sam. I am totally pissed that Alan Ball has given Bill some of Eric's deeds on the show. Granted it is a different media and Ball can pretty much do what he wants but I really burn that Bill gets all the credit for things. And I really can't stomach how schmoopy the Sookie/Bill relationship is on the show. If I watch TB ON DEMAND, I tend to fast forward over the Bill/Sookie scenes. I know Bill Moyer can act but it sure doesn't seem like it when watching him on screen. Same with Anna Paquin.
