Yeah, at least the guy who's chairing it today doesn't waste time. We might be out in less than half an hour!

That's cool. So on the good news front, Barry may be able to quit his office job in the next few days and work from home full time. Gordon has a meeting with the company tomorrow and is going to bring up taking Barry on full time. Pray for me.

Thanks dude ;)
Ugh I keep seeing this commercial for Pediasure where the horrible kid keeps going "I dont like chicken, I don't like brocolli, I don't like waffles" and if that were my child I'd be all "then you starve to death doncha?!" Better hope I never have kids, they'll hate me

LMAO
I have actually heard doctors say that as long as you are offering the kids a decent variety of healthy food (eg, not having the same meal 3 times a week, EVERY week), it's okay to tell them they need to eat it or go to bed hungry.

Three days away from work is not enough. I think a 4 day weekend is better 8-) :P
I hope that everyone had a good Memorial Day weekend :D
I was in a good mood till my husband told me he was taking the tax refund and paying HIS quarterly taxes with it.  I can't stress how pissed off I am right now.

Hey dude.
I'm still pissed. I have to say I'm glad he's going to see the Police tonight, thus saving me from having to deal with him later. Hopefully I'll be asleep when he gets home.

Okay... in the hubby's defense... if his quarterly taxes are due, and finances are slack (as they are in my household), why not use the tax rebate to pay up the IRS? It's not really a rebate anyway. If my husband said he needed the rebate to pay his quarterlies (as he did when we got the last one), I'd say no big. I might be sad that I wasn't getting to spend it on vacation, but...

Nat, no worries seriously. ;) If he had said "I really don't have the funds and would you mind if I used it" I wouldnt have cared in all seriousness, it's his throwing it on my shoulders with the "OUR quarterly taxes" horseshit. He uses the royal "we" whenever its convenient for him   Overall his attitude like it's his and there's nothing I can do about it pisses me off. He actually said "or you can just give me half and we can do whatever you want with the rebate".....GIVE?! Oh hell to the no, that aint happening.

Hope that everyone is having a good Tuesday

Heya Lone! Doing alright over here. How 'bout you?
Nora - it sounds like it's the attitude more than the action. "Could we do this" is vastly different from "We are going do this" (or "I am going to do this")

Going well over here. Finishing my lunch and browsing wedding gowns.
I find it somewhat disconcerting that people want to give or lend me bridal things. Believe me, I have no intention of going broke over this but I also want a dress that is "me"

One gal is, yes. She was going to be married a few years ago, but it never happened. So she has a brand new dress that was only worn to be "tried on" and now she's moving across country and doesn't want it. She's willing to GIVE it to me if I like it... and supposedly it cost her over $2k.
*shrugs* can't hurt to look.

Fiat - 2K for a dress  That's expensive.
At least on the bright side if you do like it, you can put the money that you were going to spend on the dress for something else for the wedding
Ffiatlux76 posts in this thread
#886 · May 27, 2008
Lone - that's what I'm thinking. Heck, I could even give the dress to a dressmaker and pay a couple hunder to have it customized and STILL come out ahead.
Assuming I even like it. I refuse to wear something that is "only okay" unless that's the best I can find. And no, I ain't spendin' no $2k on a dress. Hell, $1000 makes me gag.

I'm enjoying looking at the websites to find stuff I like... but I just KNOW that I'll try a bunch on and they'll make me look like cream puff, marshmallow, circus clown, or worse... preggers!

Aeryn - I hear ya. I just embarrassed myself. A guy from another department who is on my email distribution list stopped by to introduce himself. I heard his name, but it didn't click; I then referred to him in third person.
Sweet - not getting down on pregant women at all, considering I have a TON of nieces and nephews. Looking pregnant when you ARE pregnat is a beautiful thing; *ME* looking pregnant when I am NOT is not a pretty thing.
