Why am I not surprised to hear Robin starts screening & Ramones goes AWOL :P.

I do fly by nighters here (I blame the global orbit & time zoning ).

I come, I colour in then run away.

Work sucks.

But having an actual, honest-to-Joss job and not a temp agency postion is nice.

Aaaaaah, so it's the shirtless-ness that gets you. Here I was thinking it was well chiselled bones.

Hope everyone when they get to it has a good Thursday.  I've been on my week 'off' - which of course means I'm not showing up somewhere that I can get money at a pre-determined time. Rather I'm showing up places (one a day) where I get to spend money at a pre-determined time.

We don't have Netflix up here. It's a sad thing.

Speaking of rentals, I rented a movie from iTunes to watch on my train trip over the weekend on my iPod. Turns out that somehow, even though I have a screen and can buy/watch TV eps and everything, my iPod isn't compatible with the rentals. And when did I discover this? AFTER paying for the rental.

Guess I'm going to get to watch it on my computer screen.

I love my Netflix for the main reason of summer. Once all the shows end, we can catch up on movies we've wanted to see but refused to spend $15 on

*Waves to everyone*

Monday is my day off and I have more things to do today then I can possibly get to  I kinda hate Mondays  Weather here is awesome. Upper 70's during the day and in the fifties at night...snuggly weather. Of course this is horrible for the pool heat. Our members have been turning blue when they jump in  We get the temperature up to at least 80 during the day and then it goes down to about 72 due to the chilly nights. I keep telling the kids to jump in because I need their body heat to help get the water temp up :D

Looking at the weather across the nation....Michigan is doing good. I feel so bad for the flood victims and then all the wild fires threatening California again. Down South looks horrific with the triple digit temps.

Sad news....George Carlin died
Some days its not even worth chewing through the restraints.

Hello, everyone! Just a fly-by to let you all know I'm still alive. I've been on vacation the last several days. H1 and I went away to spend some alone time. Our 12th Wedding Anniversary was yesterday. This is the one time of year when we actually make an effort to get away, just the two of us. And yes, we definitely enjoyed it...a lot!

Fiat - LOL! Well, when you have kids, you have to take it when you can get it. ;) How are your wedding plans coming along? Did you decide about the dress yet?

Lone - It's great to see you! Are you awake yet?

Myth - The flooding in the Midwest has been horrible. My hometown actually was underwater earlier this month. My parents were very, very lucky. The water actually came into their garage...their house literally had a moat! But the water didn't get inside the house. One of my cousins, however, lost everything. She did have flood insurance to cover the house, but not her contents. What was left of her house was demolished last week. Her family only got out with the clothes on their backs!

Lone, highly entertaining to read your posts as near 1am (which for me gives me giggles of d'uh course you're tired   I'm easy to please ).

Sweet - drag the desktop to the bedside (or hijack a laptop.....then ergo bedrest & computer = happy ).

Where is the American flooding at? Stopped being in the news here ie not as dramatic I assume it's in the 'aftermath' or heading less noisily down river. Weather is crazy worldwide these days.

Thanks! :D As we all know, it's a different ball game once you try the dresses ON. But I'm really searching for a dress with some sort of sleeves/straps. I can wear strapless just fine, but it is going to be a church wedding... besides, I don't want to have to worry when I dance the night away.
