You should be resting! Sitting on the counch and eating bon-bons! ;)

I'm fine, at work now. Would much rather be home. We're getting ready to celebrate Killian's first birthday. I don't know where the time goes!

You're right...I should be resting. I'm on blood pressure watch. My OB moved me to every 2 weeks last appointment so she can watch my blood pressure. Its a big high. I'm supposed to sit or lay down while I'm at home. I do that most of the time...but I still need to make things spotless. lol. I think I'm possessed.

Yay for first birthday! I cannot wait for those.

I also think the time goes wherever those missing socks go...after the dryer eats them.

It's a rip in the space/time continuum?

Watch that BP! I usually have high BP anyway (all those years of smoking plus heredity, ugh), but it got much worse during pregnancy. I even spent the last trimester on modified bed rest and due to the BP, plus Killian weighing 10 lbs at 38 weeks, they took him 2 weeks early via c-section. You don't want a c-sec, BELIEVE ME. I'm not saying this to scare you, just take it easy, okay?

Yeah my mom had problems when she was pregnant with me and my brother and she take HBP medication now. My BP was 136/88 on monday and she just said that if it goes up she'll order another ultrasound and probably take me out of work. I don't want to have a c-section but if its for the good of my baby then I'm ok with it. I'll take it easy, its still early and I got all my stuff done (mostly) I just need to do laundry and I have to work later but thats it.

Yes, it is a rip in the time space continuum!

I have to admit, I rather enjoyed my modified bed rest. :P I watched a lot of TV, and that was it. I couldn't do anything else, which was both freeing and frustrating. Sometimes it was nice having others do everything, other times, it got annoying because it would've been easier for me to do for myself. As long as you don't overwork yourself, right? :) Do y'all have a name picked out?

Yeah I take frequent breaks. Before we moved I even mowed the lawn a couple times. It kicked my butt but it was good exercise. Usually around 8 I take a nap until 10. And with out new couch its heaven. Its sooooooo comfy and had reclining seats. I told Jake I was going to start sleeping there. He didn't like that very much.

We have a name picked. Aiden Jakob. We picked it out at like 13 weeks lol. I love it. People tell me how popular it is but we don't know ANYONE with that name, who has a baby with that name or any or of friends who know anyone with that name. I think it must be a location thing.

I have a nephew named Aidan; I remember it being in the Top 10 boys names. But I haven't seen it spelled that way, and if you like the name, I say use it! I didn't know any Shelby's when I named my daughter, then when she got to high school, they came out of the woodwork and she had 3 other Shelbys in her German class.

Tell Jake when he has a live human residing in his stomach, he can pass judgement on where and how you sleep. :P

hahahaha I told him when we were grocery shopping that if i could move the baby from my stomach to his I would totally do it. I have the whole "broken crotch" thing going on, esp when I am on my feet for too long. Whenever he starts giving me crap about my lack of working I just tell him "Well I'm growing your baby, what have you done today?" He just mumbles something about working all day, but he knows I still win. Its tiring being pregnant and having to share your body with someone else. If men had to do it there would be more one child families in the world.

Yup, that is so true! I told Danny when science finds a way for men to carry babies, he could do it since he's younger and I had so many problems. He said no. I can't complain, though-he was very supportive during my pregnancy and I know it was a pain in the ass that I was so limited in what I could do. He's a way better dad than my first husband was too.

I had broken crotch too! They actually have a name for it in the UK and Australia: symphysis pubis dysfunction. It was HELL ON EARTH. I definitely feel for you!

Nora-ah, c'mon, when you gonna make me an auntie?

Hush Brooke, you know your excited to be an auntie!

Hippie: Yeah Jake has been an angel. I have to bug him a few times to do things but they always get done. He's going to be a great dad.

I swear, if I have to hear about the snake in the crib one more I'm going to hurt someone. It freaks me out.

Hey Nora.

Hippie - Not chicken, I taught kindergarten - more like scared (in a good way they were adorable). Hah! I haven't seen the new line up, anybody good?

Jen - I am excited, I can't deny it. Just hoping everything continues well. Speaking of snakes I saw one outside this morning. :D

Sprook-you know I kid. ;) New line-up features Tawny Kitaen, she's all sorts of crazy too. Jeff Conaway will be back along with Rod Stewart's son.

Sweet-good! Having that support is important. I did it alone the first time, and it's much better having a partner. Ignore the snake story. My mother was convinced one of our cats would jump in the crib and smother Killian.........I had to listen to her drone on for months about it.

Anywho its time for my mid-morning nap.

Totally random interruption (cause it's hard for me to keep up in this thread ) was a possum (not an opossum, don't have them here) was found in a toilet. The twist - it had arrived at the destination via the pipes up, not the bowl down. :o

Oh, so glad to be home. No more jury duty (final check was this evening & I'm off the hook), the factory I liaise with is having a week shutdown so I get a week off (to do important stuff like drs, hairdressers etc) & the house is ours again (well okay except for Indoor Kitty who is stuck inside til she's off her meds - see the Intro thread for other details).

Yay for a week off! :D I have tomorrow off, but we're going to immigration for Danny's biometrics appointment. And by "biometrics" (immigration's word, not mine), I mean head shot and fingerprint.

We have opossum here. They used to come steal my outdoor cat's food when we had an outdoor kitty. They have scary teeth. Would NOT want to find one in my toilet. :o

I'm tired of studying. Final in less than 2 hours. Need break, but can't really take break. I should try and avoid my computer right now.

On an unrelated side note - West Beverly Hills High School of 90210 is the same school used as Sunnydale High. I was highly amused when I started watching S1 of 90210 and saw Sunnydale High. I couldn't stop giggling the entire first episode, but not just 'cause of the school. The hair and clothes were funny too.

Nora - Next time bite down hard on Barry. It will save your teeth :D

Harsh storms coming through again today. After last Sunday I have to admit that I am very nervous. Thousands of homes are STILL without power. It's been scary here since 6 a.m. and the more severe weather is supposed to hit this afternoon. Horrible news about those 4 cub scouts dying in that one storm in Iowa.
Some days its not even worth chewing through the restraints.

Hippie - I read a line up on perezhilton about the line-up. I may have to tune in more this season looks like a good train wreck  I felt bad watching Jeff Conaway I know he did it to himself but geez. Tawny will add nicely to the chemistry of the show

Yeah, watching him is difficult. I heard he was getting into Scientology awhile back and it supposedly was helping with his CD issues. Guess not. Rodney King should be interesting, and then there's Gary Busey.

Oh, Gary Busey. Gary Busey as a "mentor". That's worth watching in and of itself. :P

Could we put Amy Winehouse in there? Girl certainly needs a stint in rehab, and the food closet. Eat something, pet.

Gary Busey and Jeff Conaway. In the same house. Things that make you go, hmmmm. Should keep things interesting. Who's going to bed Tawny first, that's my real question. No sayin' she's a tramp, but you know someone's gotta try for a piece of the cherry pie.

(and for all those thinking I'm a sick puppy, those were the song lyrics)
