Good morning, all.
Places fresh pot of coffee and jelly doughnuts on coffee table in center of the room.
It's Friday, y'all. And while that may be just the start of my working week, I know it signifies a break from the IT/secretarial/client hell you may live in. So, I say, put on your party shirt and get down!
(Somewhere in the back of my mind lurks a Xander quote, but I am not remotely able to dredge it out.)

Woop, no more work for a whole week. :D I know i just had a week off but I can't stand my office that much. *shrugs*
Speaking of which, I didn't tell you guys what happened yesterday... my line manager Denise fixed it that Lucilla has to leave our office and work across the corridor in Denise's office with her. Permanently. :D Oh joy and rapture. So when I go back to work on September 1st it'll be a much happier place.
Get in! 8-)
Oh, and should be having an interview for the church position on September 6th, but it's not finalised yet.

Hey Gang, though LegoKing has been kind I can now say I'm back on my own computer. Have had a dickens of a time logging in - Matt my brain has dementia for passwords LMAO :o .
My laptop motherboard fried itself upon my return from Sydney last week - I blame the photos showing how TALL LegoKing now is  . So, last night (Fri night) I went a shoppin & got myself a new laptop. YAY :D :D . For those interested it's a HP Artist Edition - the one with the dragon & swirl & face on the top. I didn't even notice that - I'm all about testing the keyboard and seeing if I can sit for hours upon hours typing or not. This one has a cool plastic/perspex/whatever the hell the material is, thing where the touchpad area is so it stays a little cooler & the keys are way cool (well, they will be once I get them under control & can type back at my usual pace  ).
Oh & LegoKing to scare you all turned 14 today  :? .When, how did this happen?????

VALERI29 WROTE:Otts - You want to know what happened H2, et al? I decided putting myself through marriage once is enough. If anything ever happens to H1, I just plan to take on a succession of lovers...hopefully young and extremely well-built ones.
I'm with you! Glad to see we're still thinking alike.
Nat - I only have one thing to say in answer to that...

Val - school started today for my eldest! And the youngest starts preschool next week. Oh, two whole morning of quiet, childfree bliss. I love my kidlets but oh, to clean without it getting uncleaned, to fold laundry without little hands immediately unfolding it all. No one whining for juice or cheese sticks or fluffernutter sandwiches or endless games of Candyland!
I should probably stop now before sweet gets scared by this. ;)

I feel you there, Nora. This is why I hate elevators. One, okay two, too many so fun and not scary adventures. Hey, at last it didn't ride up and down the 18 story building for 20 minutes only to let you off on the 13th floor. :D
Hey, um, why did you get into the dark elevator anyway?

Otts - those wouldn't by any chance be TimBits, would they? That was the first thing we did in Canada. We'd been driving awhile (via Detroit) and were peckish.

GLORI WROTE:Snap elections in Canada - you lucky things you :P.
Yeah, two years ago our Prime Minister campaigned on the promise that he'd adopt a fixed-election-date bill if he was elected... and he did... and now he's trampling his own bill and calling a snap election because he feels the opposition parties are making Parliament "dysfunctional". In other words: "The opposition isn't letting me have my way, and they're so childish they want to use House committees to inquire on the way my party broke the finance rules during the last election, so we must go to the polls!"
And because we Canadians are gullible, we're going to swallow it, hook, line and sink.
Good morning all, btw. ;)
