Actually, this is really funny - from what I've read it seems that for the most part, the wedding industry's mindset is that the groom's role is to buy a ring and propose and then either stay out of the way until he's needed, or pay for the honeymoon. :roll:

Fiatsy and I haven't divided duties as such... A lot of what we've gotten done up to now has been done pretty much together (other than the dress and tux, of course) ;)

But to answer your question, it's going well. Last week we booked the venue and caterer :D

oooo fiat.. I'm actually WORKING faire this year.. I have 2 vendors who want me to work for them so will be gainfully employed on Saturdays & Sundays.. hubby's working for a vendor too as are the kids :P

oh and did I ever tell you we're keeping bees now :P got about 12 gallons of honey (about 140 pounds) from one of our hives.. half way thru the season.. will probably get somewhere about the same at the end of the season

I just checked the website... closing is on October 12, huh? *IF* (and that would be a terribly gigantic if) there was any chance of getting out to California before Christmas, that would be one of the weekends. (Thanksgiving up here.)

Turkey Legs.. early morning.. cooking breakfast for all the starving campers :P and the Face Painting booth... I'm gonna be the "booth manager" which means I take down names, take money.. help the little kiddies pick the design they want and keep the line somewhat organized and call the ppl as their numbers come up :P

we've given some of the honey away.. use it in cooking and tea.. and we're gonna make mead from it as well :D
